I dunno, I'm a big fan of nexuses. Or nexi. The big problem would be finding a way to communicate this IG, since Slendy and the Rake don't seem to be the most talkative sorts. Maybe Jeff could draw out Phone, and he could exposit for us.

The Corenthal connection, should they ever work back around to that, suggests that there was some sort of related weirdness going on well before the internet became a household word, though.

 		My personal feeling is the crawly dude is completely inspired by The Rake, but is not meant to literally be the creature from the creepypasta. I think he's going to turn out to be HABIT and is responsible for the creepy notes etc. Slendy and/or Dr. Corenthal did... something... to him and now he's a fucked up albino thing that crawls on all fours and is only slightly sane.

Really we have almost nothing to go on so anyone's guess is as good as mine. He's been in less than 5 seconds of video so far.

How is it inspired by the Rake? They have a note that's a direct continuation from the Creepy Pasta, and they also played 'The Rake's Song' in the video it appeared in. That isn't inspired, that's the damn Rake. That's like saying that the thing stalking them is 'inspired' by Slenderman Rolling Eyes

Leftfield guess: does anybody remember Valtiel from SILENT HILL 3? He was sort of a watcher over Heather, following her and stuff (and by stuff I mean stalking).

Could it be the pale lurker is sort of a Valtiel-esque being?

 		Ah ok. I guess I just don't see it being a creature that has been around since 1654 or whatever. I think we'll find he has a different backstory. But if it's 90% of The Rake I'm just splitting hairs and they're pretty much the same thing.
