Just wondering, but has anyone made an ELwire mod for the ID disks yet? Seems like the most obvious thing to do with them.

I want to, but I need some recommendations on where to get ELwire....

I don't know if this has been posted yet but! I've seen the Spider-Man but there are other Variant Marvel Comics.

I must have them all.

we were just discussing el wire over at the rpf disc mod thread: http://www.therpf.com/f24/tron-legacy-deluxe-identity-disc-mods-98306/

there's more to it than just buying the wire and inverter -it has to all fit inside the disc. so what battery size you use (with the proper voltage) and the size of the inverter to run a small length wire must also need to be taken into consideration. it's possible but i would think it would need some modifications.

Received this in the mail today. And none of you know, I'm a professional fingerboarder. Nerdy hobby? Extremely.

deluxe identity disc mod version 2

thought i'd mention i've added an internal usb port inside the deluxe identity disc. just like how the sdcc had usb id discs with content, my 1st mod keeps it lit, and the second mod lets you store data.

ejecting the disc from a computer will keep the lights lit until a switch turns it off or until you unplug it.

deluxe disc mod version 3

my identity disc can now stay lit via the button batteries and without any external power. all changes are cumulative eg. usb powered when on display, & usb data storage.

That's great!

Could you post instructions on how to light it with just batteries only?

tron disc mod diagram

by request:

not a comprehensive diagram of all the other mods, but focusing on just keeping the toy lit via the battery. it's not set in stone and up for experimentation.

i've added it to part of the disc mod photoset.

edited to add:
didn't have room in the diagram to add mod 2 but... made another simplified diagram of mods 1 and 3(usb and battery power) so you can see how they all fit.

Does anyone have knowledge of confirmed sightings of any merchandise in Australia?

I found on the Tron Legacy Australian website that the merch is probably going to be in stores late November-ish. Not long to go! Smile
