[MISC] To whoever ran the game, thank you. Even if the game doesn't end when the total axons enhottenated reaches 777, I'm grateful for the effort put in behind the entire project. There have been a fair number of nay-sayers against I Love Bees for a little while now, but even still the PMs (or whoever) did a great job of not only staying with it, but continually researching people's comments for axon information and changing the axon locations accordingly. I've had an absolute blast with the game.
So, thank you.

Thanks! I'll chime in to say thank you as well. I haven't been able to be as involved as I would like, and only recently had opportunities to reach an axon--but the game has kept made my days at work more interesting, and excited me enough to babble about it to my friends, who still don't understand.
Also, I'll say thanks to everyone else on the forum, for putting in the effort to hit the axons, solve the puzzles, assemble tools and info, and put forth your thoughts on what's happening. We're a team--none of us could have gotten this far alone.

I've got to say that I'm a little jellous of the PMs... they've crafted such a complex and interwoven story, much more so than I did for mine last spring. I don't envy their massive resources (voice actors, recording studio, robo-dialler, first-grade coding talent, bandwidth suitable for an entire 3rd world country) as they're beyond my reach, but I can't help envying what they've done with the story.
Kudos to the PMs. I can't wait to see (or figure out!) how it ends.
-- Steve does think that the axon enhottenating did go on a week too long, in his opinion. He's glad for the timing advice he got when writing the Terminals.

Hey the game is still on! But I must say that this is definitly the most entertaining and exciting thing I've participated in for a LONG time. I love how the work day melts away while figguriing out the puzzles or axons, or whatever.
My deepest gratitude goes out the PM's for bringing me into this new world.

I also am enjoying the game. Four weeks of answering payphones without other puzzles or activities is a little disheartening, but now that the Axon's look to be all but over, I'm looking forward to the next round.
I imagine those who get signed up as "Crew" (Axon spikes) will probably get called and have ever more complicated questions to answer.
Good luck to those lucky few. I envy you.

i've not been any help in the puzzle-solving, axon hunting or story speculating, but i too would like to congratulate and applaud whoever is responsible for this. Firstly, for them keeping it a secret. As we mostly speculate that it's Bungie or Microsoft, it would be a nightmare for them to ensure that no-one comes out and says "yeah, it's us" before time. That would ruin the whole experience.
Then there's the financial and technical resources gone into it. Craziness. Superb work, whoever you are.
(and good luck to the 'crew')

I would like to give my regards as well to the PMs. My summer vacation would've been boring, if not for this game. This has empowered my love for the Haloverse even more. I've played the game, read/own the novels, own the soundtrack, bought the merchandise (blue, cobalt, and black Master Chief ariculated action figures), downloaded every conceivable video, habitially reads the weekly updates, frequents Bungie.net, and now anticipating ownership of Halo 2. I am completely sold. (Now this is worst than my love for the Star Wars trilogy.)
This event has also made me come to realization that my roomies and I aren't the only geeks into the same stuff. All of you guys are like me too. And seeing this from a girl perspective, this is so awesome! I love visiting the payphones; it's a great way to physically go out and meet people. I'm more confident with people online and especially those who I will encounter via Xbox Live.
It truly is a small world.
Glad to be a part of this. And glad to be a part of this new family of friends.
Thank you.

The game This game has been so much fun. It's been exhilarating playing this game and trying to fit the rest of my life around it (work, school, gaming, family)! I just moved to San Francisco in May and was totally unfamaliar with the area. I'm not one to go out and find things on my own, but this game has forced me to do so. Since Aug. 24th, I've been driven to find random payphone locations, all the while becoming familiar with my new surroundings. I've met new, interesting people that I would know nothing about if not for this game. I think I heard someone say that this is the future of gaming. I will agree whole-heartedly with that.
So with that, thank you!

Thank yous and cookies for everyone!
This game has been great fun and has also given me some unexpected results:
- I have a chance to practice my html and css.
- I have picked up the habit of not only noticing payphones wherever I go, but checking them for messages pertaining to incoming calls as well.
- I have new friends! And even met some of them in person!
- I plan to practice playing Halo so that I can play the new game without having 'able to drive jeep off bridges and shoot team members' be my only skills.
And to think, when I started lurking around here, I didn't think I'd get a chance to contribute. So much excitement!

And to the voice actress Melissa, Great job! You are very knowlegable (knowing what my sister's illness was/is as well as many other things in game) and VERY talented with off the cuff conversation in character. You deserve an award.

And a big thanks on the creation of Bees. As a way to say thanks, one job I have at worik, I am designing and programming a pinball machine right now, so it will have an easter egg related to I Love Bees (there is a B lane in the upper rollover ABCD lanes, you figure out how to get that one to go live

<dusts off thread, places it back on mantle>
I wanted to bring this thread back. 'Cuz it's true. This game is awesome. Always has been. Yep.
I think everyone in the community can agree, too. I know it's not over yet, but good job, PM's.
<exuberant cheer>
