OT The Big Bang Theory
I know there are others here who watch the TV show Big Bang Theory. Because the characters on the show are such Sci-fi geeks I have been waiting to see anything Tron related on the show. After all they have mentioned in the past Disney and Marvel related things along with objects and toys.

Last night 10/21 on the show Tron was not mentioned but there was a very small FL item if you paid attention.

Howard set up Lenard with a double date. On the date Howard (who is known for his turtle necks) has Sam's 89 pin on his collar.

I hope we will be seeing more eventually.

Where I am not trouting you, I do find it interesting not only that you managed to get the still. I also find it interesting that you managed find the pic (As I looked for it) and to pull a better pre-blowup image than the actual low lighting pic that it seems to be in. I do Entertainment lighting for a living and the lights are on Howard's back and right (opposite) side of his face. His left side and location of the pin in this pic are completely dark with nothing to reflect the light and details in the image that you show.
Also where this character is known for wearing GAME related items or Original Star Trek crew items, he is not known for Gray Aliens and also begs to question him wearing an alien pin. Sheldon is more likely to wear something to resemble and Alien if you watch and know the show but he is more liken to green lantern(another alien).

Sorry but I will leave this for others to decide.

Where I cannot speak regarding the lighting, people CAN obtain images other than from google.

 		I saw it as a stylized number nine or lower-case letter 'g'.
Definitely not an 89∞ pin.

 		Sorry to break it to you, but that is absolutely NOT an 89 pin. I don't know what it is, but its the wrong color and the wrong shape.

I downloaded the episode, and used Photoshop's "Sharpen" tool to clear up the alien pin.

I guess he saw something close to what I thought I saw. The lighting is very poor.

Alien pins
Ahh, resurrecting an old thread... Smile

It is an alien pin, and with only a couple of exceptions, Howard wears it on every episode as an inside joke that hasn't been released. This was also confirmed by Mary Quigley, co-producer and wardrobe designer, during a set tour with simon and kunal that was released as behind the scenes footage.

 		Watching an episode right now, Sheldon gave a lecture and when Penny asked how he did the response was "picture the Hindinburg, meets 3 mile island, meets Chernobyl, meets Tron 2" Sad
apparently no love for Tron Legacy...

EDIT: This is the first Tron reference I have heard also. Just had a discussion the other day that I as surprised that it hasn't been brought up previously.

The show is absolute shite, and while staying with my uncle and his insistance at watching it, I've come to find it's still absolute shite.

Dissing Tron, now, that's utter shite.
