Even though box 3 is now out on the table (literally) can someone point me to the info on box 2? I still haven't found anything on it and I don't have an SA account (which is where the game wiki directs you too).

God, Box 3 is gorgeous. Reminds me of some of the leather journals you see out there.

Yeah, I was disappointed to see that SA now apparently requires membership just to browse threads. I'll sign up for an account this weekend (after payday) if nobody else has a paid account, but I'm hoping somebody can grab the relevant information for us and the wiki before then.

EDIT: On the right side of the box, just above the tape, is that paint or chipping?

You don't (always) need an SA account to view threads there. Let me know if this link doesn't work and I can post some of the images directly. I think it depends on the age of the thread and whether Lowtax ran out of beer money that week. But this was the trip report from box 2: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3322288&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=12#post380980180

The guy posted the links in a really annoying way so it's kind of hard to post all the images.

Chipping.

Still blocked. I know you used to be able to browse non-archived threads for free, but I tried some links from the main page this morning and couldn't get in. I don't know if it's a glitch, if I'm an idiot, or if Lowtax changed the policy.

EDIT: Thanks, FlyingWarhorse. Probably not an important detail, but with these guys you never know. Smile

Oh, awesome! I can't wait to see what's inside of it. :)

Where did it end up being?

Bah ok. Here's the entire Box 2 post, apologies for the length. All credit to "Quiddler" on SA, I am just reposting. If it's not clear, this is NOT the box that was just found, this was like 2 months ago:

-----

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in putting stuff up - I had to meet someone for dinner.

Links are shortened because SA filters out imagetruck, which was the easiest place to upload the shots in batch.

So - Mercer County Park. I drove in along Paxon Ave, parked in the lot to the southwest of the coordinates, and headed for whatever that structure on the google satellite was.

http://www.xs.to/9R5

On the way, I noticed a number of stands with birdhouses scattered around the area. Some guys at unfiction were talking a lot about birdhouses, so this quickly caught my eye. DJ McCarty was always kind to our winged friends.

http://www.xs.to/9R7

The building on the satellite picture was this beast of a house - predating the Revolutionary War. It was a pretty neat/creepy sight, but not the focus of our expedition today. Some guys at Unfiction posted more pictures of this in their thread.

http://www.xs.to/9RA

Nearby, a curiously placed fire hydrant and some purple tape on a branch caught my eye - the same kind of idea that marked the first box.

http://www.xs.to/9RB

http://www.xs.to/9RE

Nestled deep within the anxious loins of the tree was a box!

http://www.xs.to/9RG

On my way out of the park, I noticed this on a nearby lightpost. Someone really likes purple tape.

http://www.xs.to/9RH

And now, the package itself:

The box was wrapped in saran wrap (presumably to keep it safe in the case of poor weather) and securely covered with more purple tape.

http://www.xs.to/9RL

Inside was a wooden box, measuring (in inches) 2 x 2.5 x 8.25. Into the top the words "-BOARDING PASS-" are written heavily in pencil.

http://www.xs.to/9RO

One side of the box has "you know where," written lightly in pencil in the upper right corner.

http://www.xs.to/9RT
http://www.xs.to/9RW

On the bottom of the box is the phrase "one in the samex" (the x appears as a subscript) in the lower left corner.

http://www.xs.to/9RX
http://www.xs.to/9RZ

There are no other significant words or markings on the box, so to the inside! The top slides out as shown.

http://www.xs.to/9S1

First look inside:

http://www.xs.to/9S2

The white disc is 1.5 inches in diameter and appears to be similar to porcelain in constitution. On one side is a ridged radial design with the word "HABIT" written and underlined in what looks like black sharpie. A small hole at the top connects it to a short, tied loop of elastic band (like a hair tie). The reverse side is slightly convex and features a large silhouette of a bird on a smooth white background.

http://www.xs.to/9S5
http://www.xs.to/9S6

Also in the box was an EverymaHybrid business card. The card is printed on a thick cardstock, not unlike the kind you can get made at Staples pretty easily. The text in the top right corner
code:

EverymanHYBRID
Your go-to source for a happy &
healthy lifestyle on a budget

is repeatedly crossed out with black marker, and an ominous figure has been sketched in pencil beneath the tree on the far left.

http://www.xs.to/9S8

Finally, a folded piece of 8.5 x 11 white computer paper with the words "Time and space flee every which way, disregarding your beloved logic." centered in the middle and "2/7" written in marker in the bottom right corner.

http://www.xs.to/9SE

Bonus Wawa picture:

Have at it! Let me know if you have any questions about the stuff, need more pictures, or want me to scan the paper/business card (although there isn't really much more detail to get).

Cheers!

Sadly that link does not work. Just another "sign up to view" page.
I would sign up myself, but I have no source of income (I'm a college student on scholarship).

Edit: Whoops, I see someone beat me too it. Thanks Doc. You da man.
