 		The "dead colleague" part confuses me; in the context of the sentence, it almost sounds like he's addressing the letter to his dead colleague...

Anywhoozle, great find, freakin' nuts. We got "The Words" written over the HYBRID rendition of the Dark Knight's Joker picture, so Damsel must still play some role...

One thing I wanna point out that I don't think anyone else has- there is something blacked out before Evan's name. The skeptic in me wonders if that could possibly be the first name or a parent's name or some other identity that Evan (if it IS him) went by at that time. Indeed there seems to be a few black-outs along the document.

Otherwise, I dunno what to derive from this right now. Someone send a message to our heroes yet?

 		As oriented in the photo I get:

Rotated 180 I get:

I'm not at all sure of the word breaks they look different in different orientations. I ran both versions through a simple rotational cipher and got nothing.

Also, I am betting on the first/last word being "HABIT."

I tried. I could only read the last two. The one before "EVAN" doesn't seem readable and neither does the one after nurse, sorry.

I would bet an entire dollar on it, as that is all I have on me at the time.

I think I'm missing something, since I haven't had to deal with the Mason cipher since high school calc.

This. Let's get all the black-outs and go from there.

I suggest holding the page up to a light (flashlight behind the page or somesuch) or perhaps scanning the page and trying some of this shenaniganry.

That was my assumption, but I tried treating it like a cryptogram and working from HABIT gave some awkward letter combinations, so I gave up. Maybe worth another try, though.

I was thinking same, and if not then the first word is The I'm betting. Second word double letters most likely are O as most common in that config. Good or Moon possible?

 		If Jeff has asked those questions, we haven't seen them discuss it openly at all or acknowledge the issue. I seem to recall him even saying he had questions for the guys while he was away. When he got back, they seemed put out and he took control of the entire situation.

 		Jefff, I wouldn't be surprised being on that paper (time warp aside), but EVAN? Whaaaaaaaaat. And that's definitely aimed at a dead colleague. Either that or it's a random misspelling attributed to his declining sanity.

On a different note, as I feel the need to whine. The english major in me wants to shoot myself and become (most likely) a theatre major instead.

 		Some testing with Photoshop didn't do much good, but I can make out some shapes.

 Description   I think it's "H" or "M" with a bunch of dashes afterwards, as if the guys didn't really want to give a name so they just started one. Or something.

 Description   This one was a bit harder, so I tried something else. I can make out another "H" or "M" in the first one, maybe an "X". In the third it looks like something's crossed out, not with a computer but manually.
