I'm sorry, but Evan isn't nearly that insane nor is he 40. If he was a time traveler from the past I seriously doubt he'd have let the Hybrid crew mess with Slender Man in the beginning, even if he was extremely stabby.

Which leads me to the only other possible conclusions...either Evan/Habit is just a name coincidence, or Evan at some point ends up back in time, in an institution.

Oh, excellent. Already said it on the chat, but great job to everybody here. I've never really been in an ARG before, so I think the reason I'm loving EMH so much it's that it's still part of the normal mythos set-up but there's so much for us fans to find, too.

But anyways- Corenthal is alive, then. Does this add anything to the theory that's he's a fellow Slenderman victim?

Damn. Nicely done!! With the message decoded it's easy to see the cipher the used. It's basically the mirror image of the example on Wikipedia Smile Here's the cipher in case they throw this at us again in the future:

Edit wtf the attachment didn't work, trying to fix...

Dude, that most recent video was so awesome. Very Happy I just loved their blood-coughing bit, so gross! Nice to see some results from being an idjit and running at Slendy with a baseball bat.

EMH has been so solid so far. Kudos to the guys in charge for putting together a really engaging game -- even not getting into the ARG part, it's been really interesting to watch.

Shit. Corenthal's wife (or whoever the old woman was in ".-") knows more than she let on. Watch it again.

Come to think of it, she did get rather panicky when Jeff brought up Habit...maybe that was her freaking out over the doc getting re-discovered?

My money's on Evan Habit being Evan Hybrid's long-lost father or uncle. Surely they wouldn't throw in that name just to totally fuck with us.

If that is the case, and if Habit has taken to bleaching his skin and crawling around naked, we could get a "Luke, I am your father moment." Smile

This makes me continue to feel like The Rake is Habit. Since we now know Habit was a) batshit friggin insane, and b) released into the wild against Corenthal's wishes. Well anyway it sounds like he was going to be released. Maybe once he was out of the hospital's protection, Slendy continued to do whatever it is he does to people, making him the freak we see today?

Unless they are doing some serious time travel craziness, there's no way the two Evans are the same.

"D-Dad! I missed you! W-why didn't you ever come to my birthday parties!?"

Wow, you guys are awesome! Well done with the cipher!

I've been lurking in this thread for a looooong while, but something randomly occurred to me while I was doing dishes. From the start, they've made it clear that Evan is pretty much lost when it comes to any kind of new technology. I was wondering what, if any, significance that had on his character, and... well. Not saying it's proof that he's a time traveler or anything - I find that kind of unlikely, myself - just something I thought I'd throw out there.

...Well, son of a bitch. That's not too far-fetched O.O

I could use a refresher on Evan's lack of understanding of Our Future Technology. I thought he was just being a jock!

He called a USB stick "one of those microchip things" in "Jeff". I'm sure there's other examples, but that's the first one that comes to mind for me.
