Oh wait, one thing of note: one of the weird things in the letter is "my dead colleague."

I think that was supposed to be "DEAR" colleague. (The letters are right next to each other). The question is... actual OOG typo (hilarious coincidence) or creepy IG typo...

I also noted there's a typo on the stationary on the page 1 header. The phone number has two digits reversed. (This is probably a simple OOG typo.)

So that document raises WAY more questions than it answers. Major points to Warhorse and his wife for finding it. Still, I'm kind of leaning towards the time travel theory myself, along with the thought that maybe the Rake and Evan are the same person. As in the Rake is this split personality of Habit that manifests as a territorial mechanism in the presence of Slenderman. Of course, that doesn't explain for a minute why it's tormenting Alex, this latest series of videos has just turned my entire backyard into a grove of epileptic trees -_-;.

Do we know for certain that the boys have known Evan since childhood? I thought Jeff mentioned that - at least, that's his perception.

I never understood why after all his clue-dropping during his road trip, casting aspersions on Evan and Vinnie, that he just popped back up large and in charge with no explanation or follow-up on that.

Yeah it was pretty weird, Jeff said something like "I have a lot of questions for the guys" and then it just got dropped. At least as far as public postings.

Also unless I'm mis-remembering things (decided to have a couple scotches before dinner ) Jeff found medical records from Dr. Corenthal at his own burned down school. So either the records were about Evan and that confirms they were childhood buds, or they were about Jeff and both Evan and Jeff have at least a tenuous connection to "the good Doctor".

After typing that, I'm not sure it helps things make anymore sense.

The phone number from the stationary, (330) 890-4363, is disconnected. My phone says it's in Kent, OH, not Alliance. A brief google search turns up nothing except reverse phone book searches, all of which point to Kent. That said, the official Yellow Pages reverse lookup don't show anything. A few other sites say it was a cell phone or pager, but I don't know how trustworthy they are.

If it turns out that Corenthal is hiding around Kent or Alliance, I can make the trip down there. I'm about an hour or so away.

I went back to watch .- to see what Corenthal's wife has to say, and I realized that clips of the Animal Collective song "Who Could Win A Rabbit" has been in every one of the . and - named videos. In light of the connections between "habit" and "rabbit" (the 'hearing rabbit or habit' line from Corenthal's letter, Damsel's use of the word 'rabbit' in response to the line about living being a 'habit'), it makes for an interesting tidbit.
