And then, of course, there are the parallels between what Habit is said to have done, and what we've seen Evan attempt to do; that is, go bat-shit knife-crazy.

EDIT: Of course, it's also a very odd anachronism that a doctor in the early 70's would have a lyric of a song from 2004 in his head.


I don't think the whispering in the Slender Man video was supposed to be The Rake, considering the video focused entirely on Slender Man with no references to the Rake. The whispering didn't even sound like Rake whispering. In the WttA video, it's pretty much agreed that it's saying Habit, or it might not be saying anything at all and our brains are just filling in the blanks.

Evan has not been going through sleep deprivation. In fact, he got the most sleep out of everybody during the Sleep Lab, and only had one nightmare. If anything, Jeff fits that description better, since he was in a school fire, his girlfriend is missing, and he was actually part of the sleep deprivation bit during the Sleep Lab.

I'll give you the knife-crazy one, but still, I wouldn't say that's enough to say that The Rake is trying to communicate/has a connection with Evan, and that any of these Habit things are directed at him. Like I said, any of these could easily be Red Herrings.

Aaaaaand just to put myself in a nice Mind-F mood while I'm at work, I'm playing Poe's Haunted.
(for those that aren't aware, Poe is the sister of Mark Z. Danielewski, author of HoL. The album Haunted is a companion to the book, including themes and elements from the book, but also has it's own identity dealing with emotions about their father. quite an album)

I know what you mean, I'm home alone all day with just the cats for company, and sitting in a dark room in a lonely house reading all of this is quite foreboding.

 		Something odd I've noticed in rewatching "Ashen Waste" when the boys go into the warehouse/factory:

When the guys go in, one of the main features you'll see at the back of the room is a huge tank/boiler looking thing. Behind the boiler is darkness.

At 3:44, when you get a good look at the boiler and the shadows behind it, there's a tiny bit of light, like maybe an open door is back there.
At 3:50, Jeff turns the camera back on the boiler and you can clearly see there's an open door behind it with what looks like a crate or cart in front of it.
At 4:02, when the camera moves back to that spot again, the door is shut.

Maybe wind. Maybe something else.


Also, at 3:36, there's some chalk writing on the ground that the camera is pointing at. Anyone got any ideas what it might say?

Wow, I didn't notice that before, good eye! And I think the chalk says something like "I P I P I N (R? U? The I's could be L's too)" I'm probably wrong but that's what I see, not that it makes any sense.

My whole point was that the body was part of another group, another group not of HYBRIDS but of people being chased by the Rake, the "feral Other." The note they found on the body in "Cops Checked, No Body" said they were heading east, to find info from the doctor. I'm fairly certain that she (and any others that might have been with her, now gone, the ones referred to in the note as "we") came from Ohio, where Fairmount Children's Hospital is, where 1971's patient Evan ("HABIT") came from.

Of course, this is just blind speculation. EMH runs deep.

Ohh, I was following you. I just felt like he gathered a bunch of words and made a very disconcerting picture out of it. It made sense to me.

edit: I like editing. Also, who is the guy getting up off the ground in 78of76? It's around 0:45-0:48 and it looks... really weird.

 		Well, I enabled my phone to get HYBRID Tweets as well. I'm fully expecting to get a Text at 3 AM saying something creepy like "Wake up, HABIT is inside your house."

 		Also, as a point to be made: I've referred to the Rake as the "feral Other" in past tweets using the #emh hashtag, same as I have referred to Slendy as "Him." I've been trying to piece together everything for quite some time.


Also in Jeff's tweet containing the picture, he specifically says: "@Fissioninferno Is this accurate to your breakdown? I'm surprised how satisfying it was to put into words. [J] http://bit.ly/8ZFVQZ"

Words they still can't see.

Edit: did as tweet search with Snapbird, I haven't specifically called the Rake "feral," that is their addition.

Possibly that Slendy and the Rake are two sides of the same coin? One civilized, "man," the other the feral, wild. One controlled, the other not? Maybe I'm just digging too deep.

Oh god. I think I would die, I set up my text thing around 2 or 3 last night and expected something like that too, but I didn't get anything till the "HABIT" post.
