He could be there to punish those who have done horrible things. Not cause he's on the side of good...but more like in Ghost when the bad guy died, and was taken by the screaming hands.

We don't know that Slendy made those bags and left them there. It fits the mythos---but who sent them the pictures of it that Vince talks about at the start of that video?
We didn't SEE what happened to Evan when he attacked, we only saw the aftermath. For all we know he swung, and was repelled by Slendy's innate Slendyness. Guess I'm just spitballing and over thinking like I joked about before---but yeah. Certain things don't make sense.

I still don't understand why the encounter in the forest with the bags of blood caused Jeff to suddenly remember things about his school fire and go off on his own. What was it about that encounter that caused that reaction in him?

It's all so confusing! Smile I love it. This has filled the void that Lost left for speculation and theorizing. And we still haven't heard from Damsel, or had anything of note happen with Alex for awhile. And there are 4 boxes left!

One problem with this, he murders children and burns schools, and this has been supported in this series, does he punish kids for being bad?

Well, to be fair, at this point you can argue most anything. SO maybe you're right, and maybe I'm right. Or maybe we're both wrong.Part of the point of the series is that we make our own conjectures, and I think that some part of this story has to depend on base assumptions, just like suspension of disbelief. It is when we assume too much that we get the twists and turns that throw us for loops.

I think you could likely argue that it seems plausible Evan would have done soemthing 'bad' in his past, as he seems wonky to begin with, and maybe Jeff caused the fire at his school that may have killed other kids, but I can't think of any indication of either of these things. Plus, what about Vinnie?

Also, the bags. I know you've refuted them, but seriously, how would the rake have tied them to the trees without puncturing them? And also no humans were around but slendy was.

A quick request for you guys, if anyone is willing to help!

I've just set up a character page on TVTropes and although the wiki has pictures for Damsel, Alex and Jesse, the picture of Jessa has somebody else in it and I can't get HQ shots of everyone else. If you guys have any shots of anyone saved, that'd be a big help- feel free to put some tropes in there too.

I keep secretly hoping they are going to have a wacky entry where they break her out of jail, a-la Murdock on the A Team.

Is it time for a #savethedamsel Twitter thingy?

nah man, Slender Man is malicious, or else it would completely ruin the slender man mythology, slender man from his beginning has always been a killer.

Sorry, but in the original ARG, most people just disappeared, with some of them even meeting him a couple of times. Same with MH.

Only some of the newer/weirder blogs and vlogs have made him a killer.

There is the organ bag stuff, but who knows if that wasn't somebody else who was in for the ride all along?? Shocked

I think Slendy is more of a symbol of depression, and Rake being a symbol of impending doom.

And yes, theories suggest he might punish future killers.

Just a quick thought....

If Slendy and the Rake are indeed "two sides of the same coin", it could come down to how they pursue their objective (if they even view all of this as an "objective", but anyway). Slender Man could be Justice- cold, calculating, patient, everpresent; the Rake could be Vengeance- violent, passionate, striking quickly but without forethought.

Also- "HABIT BIT ME"? Hrm... how's that wound of Alex's doing? I still don't believe it's Sparky that's causing it....

Movie was great! I think the repetition was more in context with what was going on with that plotline which is unrelated to this though.

Now there's an interesting point. What is Alex doing during all this? With the leakage videos that may or may not be canon, the Ashen Waste trip, and the fact that the Rake may be in his closet and in his room, I'm getting antsy that we haven't heard anything out of him yet. I'd like to know more about his role in all this. Is he just being pulled in by being too close to the action or is it something else?

future killers? now that's interesting.

wouldn't it be cool if there ended up being 4 monsters, as in 4 horsemen, as in 4 arrows in the symbol? Highly unlikely especially given that we are almost halfway through, but it isn't like we haven't thrown around crazier ideas. (EMH soap opera style with the drunken one night stands and love triangles was a little out there imo)

Well I got a short reply from Alex but it was to do with how my daughter is so it wasn't important. I know he's been busy this weekend so hopefully I'll have a bit more contact with him. The last time we spoke about his arm he said it was pretty much still the same and that Sparky was still acting up.

Ah, makes sense, just thought to mention it just in case. (And yes, PontyPool is an awesome movie!)

Perhaps someone here is capable of discerning them.

The plurality is relevant as well.

It's pretty illegible given the video quality. This is the best screencap I could get.

THIS. This right here. I'm in to tweeting it (especially to the boys) so long as others'll be. Anyone Else?

Thanks, BA, I'd forgotten about that one. I'd actually started work on those pages way back when but realized I'd gone about it in poorly and gave up. The bit I was able to make out, IIRC, seemed like it was the oral account from a little girl who'd run into Slendy shenanigans at sleepaway camp. I'll give it another go after work tonight.

I still think it's possible that Jeff had a good reason to drop a dime on her, so it might be best to leave her locked away for a while. I do wish either Jeff would share what set him off or that her alleged post would make its way through the queue.
