The newer static flashes on the Log page...
Someone suggested they might be Morse Code, and that they read SOS, or rather ... --- ...
I looked at them for a while, and I don't think that's the timing. To me it looks more like -.. ..- -..
Running this through the Morse Code translator, it gave me DUD.
This is purely based on the timing between the appearance of each o and O. It doesn't take the binary into account because I don't know how it might fit in. I tried letting each pause stand for 1 in the o sets and a 0 in the O sets, and vice versa. Nothing, but if someone else wants to give it a try, it's always possible I messed it up somehow.

Now, whether or not the this clue is, in fact, a dud (lol) I don't know, but I'd rather post something and look stupid, than risk missing something important.

It was me who said the SOS bit. I only looked at the appearance of the zeros: ooo OOO ooo, then I understood o=. and O=_ , but I did not look at the timing. I still do not know what can it be, tbh. Who is sending those interferences? What was the previous one? The binary hangman is still a mystery for me! I am uploading the Flash file for the previous eventlog (the binary hangman) and this one (the SOS/DUD), just in case we want to look at it again if it changes in the website.

Btw, brilliant job calming down Zach!

Well he sent me another couple of emails, one of which stated he was going to trust me after all.

In hindsight maybe it wasn't such a good idea to get him to ring the number, since the M.I.W's could track him via his number. Seemed like a good idea at the time

However the M.I.W's do look like a better alternative to Mr. Hoodie.

Zach won't speak to Karen about it worried that she will think he's crazy, can't imagine why.

I still think the artifact is key to this whole mess, wonder if there is a back door to the bunker?!?

Lovecraft's characters either:

Get killed off by members of the particular cult the hero is investigating

New event log today...the cloaked figure opens the bunker door. The Event Log 'message' (what we thought was Morse) has also changed...now with added white noise.

The new morse uses O and o to make it clearer.

Assuming O is a dash and o is a dot,

-../--./.... = DGH

or if O=dot and o=dash

.--/..-/---- = WUCh

Neither really make much sense though.

I downloaded the file and converted it to pics. It starts with the "H" (assuming small o= dot), then it might be a faded E (.), then the same as you got: D and G. So I get H(e?)DG.

Has anyone else noticed that when Zach's lying unconscious at home, the Shadow is at the bunker?

He emailed me today saying that he felt like 'he was someone else'.

You know, that's a good point. Earlier in the thread, I stated that I originally thought Zack and Cloaky were one and the same, but I felt like that was busted by Zack posting blogs while Cloaky was in the woods.

But if he was going back and forth-- or Cloaky simply ceases to be when Zack is awake, or something, that would explain it, and it would help explain why it's taken Cloaky so long to get to the bunker.... considering the event-logs are dated, we can reliably tell it's taken a few days to make a trip that shouldn't take more than a few hours at most.

Supporting something along these lines, if you compare yesterday's event log to today's, it looks like Cloaky enters from the left today, when yesterday, he was standing directly in front of the bunker door already at the end of the log. Not to mention... and I can't really tell because of the quality, but... it looks to me kind of like in yesterday's event log it was raining, and it's not in today's.

Also, the actual event log page's animation seems to be different, but maybe I just didn't notice it before. and ALL the idle animations seem to be freaking out a little... probably has something to do with the 'warning' status on the Sentinel Control on the diagnostic page...

One more quick thing. it seems like you genius code-cracker types keep getting 3-letter combinations from things... much like the 'STK' before. maybe they're either alternate keys for current puzzles to give additional information, of the keys to future puzzles? I dunno, because honestly, I'm worthless at solving codes and such-- just don't have the brainpower for it, haha.
