Short time lurker and ARG noob here! Usually I would have stayed lurked, but I thought of a little something no one seems to have mentioned. Ignore me of course if I'm just repeating someone else but... could the boxes (or at least box number 3) be coming from Damsel? The purple duct tape and the first mention of her blog both show up together in Sleep Lab Part 1 and whoever is dropping off the boxes sure loves purple duct tape. If not her, someone related to her or actively connecting her in some way? Heaven knows if it's supposed to be positive or negative but... there you go.

...more I think about, the more I imagine it's an old suggestion, but I thought I'd try to actively engage anyhow.

@Marllone: Welcome! There's no reason to lurk if you wanna talk; I'm glad you decided to join.

I think maybe one of the guys mentioned that the purple duct tape was theirs in a Ustream, but I can't remember for sure. It seems to be connected more to the weird side-effects of whatever is going on (the purple tape over Evan's mouth, on all of the boxes, during the first door-opening sequence with Alex).

Okay. Treating SOA as a standalone acronym, and taking the one of the most outstanding unsolved puzzles- "Land of Ashen Waste"- I set about to thinking. "A" would naturally be "Ash" or "Ashes", and likely "O" would be "of". But what of "S"?

What's another term for "waste"? Swamp. Swamp of Ash? Doesn't make sense, right? But think a little outside the box. Think of trees.

Ash trees.

A little word play turns our postcard's title into "Land of Ash and Waste". Black Ash swamps are fairly uncommon types of wetlands where more than half of the trees are ash. But there's a couple to be found not terribly far from New Jersey- one in northern central Pennsylvania, and another in upstate New York not far from the Canadian border.

Reaching? Maybe. But we're running around in circles here and a little out-of-the-box thinking might be necessary.

looking at cosmic's past tweets it seems like someone made a twitter to follow EMH (one tweet wishes the guys luck a few days ago) and decided to see what would happen if they sent them stuff. I don't think EMH would add yet another outlet for info when there already killing off their past ones (see:damsel) but ya never know with these guys.
