Chaplin's Time Traveler

Has anybody seen this? It was posted a few days ago right before the Back to the Future anniversary on the 25th, which I think is more than a little coincidental.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6RjpD1vwh8&feature=player_embedded#!

the comments are amazing! and at first I thought, "this would make a an AWESOME rabbit hole for an ARG", and then I saw this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6a4T2tJaSU&NR=1

So it might be just a bit of fun viral marketing for this guys film company. I want to get a copy of the real video and see if the time traveler is there or was added in after.

In the very least, you will have fun engaging with the speculation, which is definitely heading into ARG territory on youtube.

ETA: The story was picked up by MSNBC

http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/10/26/5353411-cell-phone-time-traveler-from-1928?gt1=43001

ETA: somebody posted the whole video online, and it includes the "time traveler" but I'm not convinced it wasn't edited in since the person has only posted 2 videos so far, this and part two, both only several days ago

ETA: now picked up by the Star: http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/movies/article/881824--time-travelling-alien-mystery-of-the-woman-in-chaplin-movie-clip

I'm sure the footage is real otherwise someone would have called him on it already. Definitely looks like the siemens hearing aid to me though. http://hearing.siemens.com/sg/10-about-us/01-our-history/milestones.jsp?year=1924

<sarcasm>
But she is talking into it and she obviously has more mass than she should so it must be an alien.

I have the DVD and it's definitely on the extras... They didn't create it I know that much.

What's funny about this, is that I've actually just come across this guys video from Tom Sleman's site; Sleman writes about The Paranormal etc and has a whole slew on Time Slips and Temporal shifts etc. - I saw it and ran to my DVD case and had to check for myself lol...

Now whether or not you believe it and/or it's your cup of tea isn't a problem yanno each to their own but recently I've been doing a lot of digging on "Time Slips" just due to its nature (REALLY into Science Fiction as I'm sure a few of us here are)

But I digress... This clip is legitimate although I myself haven't actually seen an object in the wo(man?)s hand although their fingers are definitely curled around and holding something... As they speak.

This isn't an arg and I also don't think it's a ploy to plug he did however take the opportunity to do a lot of it whilst talking - But again, why would someone clearly out themselves as a film producer/editor if they were about to show something which people could debunk as being "crafted" in the here and now?
