[SPEC] What is Project Gateway? Sitting around looking at the stuff in the pages, obviously the question of what is pops into your head. When I read the names of the stuff they were testing on in the 'die for your government' page I noticed that they were the same things that were in cells.
The only proven thing is that they test on things still in the cells. They haven't touched Cyberslash and he's in an unlocked cell, so perhaps we're supposed to free the different things so the government can't have them.

You mean CyberStrike, right? Not CyberSlash?

Current spec for myself: they are making some sort of psychic-powered suit of armor that may grant the wearer special powers. But the technology doesn't work very well, judging by some of the conversations we've overheard.

Beyond this, they are using "crystals" to make these armor suits do the powers that they've created.
Beyond THAT, the've not only attempted to do this, but they HAVE to have completed it, because of Eagletalon and such's conversation. They've been given god-like powers... that means it works, right?
So we're digging in the past to figure out how to _________?

I was personally thinking about KeyBlades, from the ps2 game Kingdom Hearts.
I could be wrong though.

I don't wanna be ignorant, but what could that have to do with this, excepting a difrerent version of the name? I'm really not trying to come down on you, but maybe when you bring something in from left-ish field-ish that you could elaborate a little more, or maybe wait until you are certain that your left-ish field-ish post will have relevance.
(I know I'm sounding harsh, and I really don't mean to... I just don't think anyone who's even played Kingdom Hearts really knows what relevance you're trying to make.)

Remember, S_Roberts warned "Also remember to not overload the cells beyond capacity. Doing so may cause errors and data corruption in the project."
If we unlock all the cells what do you think will happen?

No, you don't sound harsh at all.
A major concept in Kingdom Hearts (with it's sequel coming out within the next year or so) is that of the keyblade, which is a weapon against the powers of darkness.
The fact that we're using keys with various names that have various philosophical-type sayings attached to them (just like in the game) to unlock something correlates pretty well in my opinion.
Hope that explains things.

... okay, I may be on crack, but my first thought when I read Belle's diary was Tekkaman/Teknoman . No, really .
Admittedly, it doesn't seem like something you'd make an ARG about, and I haven't actually seen the series: the sum total of what I know about it comes from that site just now, and hearing about it somewhere else a year or so ago. But it was my first idea when I read the diary. Anyone on here know more about it, so they can tell me if I'm insane or not?

Duh! This just occured to me.
On the main page it says "Capture Code 32 Model"
These characters say they work for Section 32.
So, S. Roberts wrote some software(?) that can capture the members of Section 32 ... hence "Capture Code 32".
If we continue following that reasoning, then Emily's site (32nd Notes) could be re-read as "notes from members of section 32", which is more or less exactly what we've been finding there. The only question is, is Emily in on it or did they just stumble across her site and decide to use it?

Well, Emily is putting up a good front if she's in on it. My guess is S_Roberts is just using it as a subtle joke.

My [SPEC] on Project Gateway, given what we know from The Myth of the Elements (thanks, Father George!)
Shadown found out about the Myth of the Elements, and that the crystals are incorporated into armors (apparently through Darkblade, when he killed the archeologist.) Shadown wants that power (true motivation unknown,) but doesn't know where to get the armors. Instead, he captures Steve, who is a friend of Brendan, who (following Shadown's prediction) sends Section 32 to save Steve. Shadown knew that Section 32 was coming, however, and was prepared for them. After capturing Section 32, he stripped them of their armor, leaving them severly weakened, and almost without power (only Strike, who has total dominance of the internet was able to send a message - and only barely, given how distorted it was - this was the rabbit hole message here on UF.)
Shadown goes on to test the armor using his own people, but because they are not judges, things don't go too well.
I think that puts us about up to date. Make sense?

One question that's been bothering me for a while: Why is one of the cells unassigned? Evidently one the the people in Section 32 never came, and therfore neither that person or the armor was ever captured. Perhaps this is "Deuce"? If so, where is s/he?

Just SPEC, but I think I've got a really good chance of being right.
The missing cell belongs to the renegade, the betrayer, and the only crystal who didn't survive - Darkness. What Darkness' Section 32 name is is a mystery, but at least we know its element.
