Blight, you rock. I suggest you print off a map, if you don't have a GPS. And make sure to look for purple tape.

You could have a looksee at Centralia if you'd like, but I suspect it's going to be the site of a video soonish, so it'd probably just be for curiosity's sake.

Document the finding, though!

I can go after school today, but this one sounds like it would be a bitch to find. I was going to go to Rocky Horror tonight, but this sounds more fun. Very Happy

Dude, DO IT!! Cool

Those damn boxes are what keeps this going more and more insane.
And yes, I am weirded out too that a.) this comes so fast after 3/7 and b.) that the coordinates on Linney's letter seem to NOT indicate that the box was planted by her, OR that it indicates she was the receiver, not the sender.

Alright HYBRIDS, the wife and I have made an executive decision to allow someone else to get this box. Enjoy the hunt!

Remember, look for the purple duct tape. That's the first clue. They also like to hide the packages inside trees (that's where the last two were found, not sure about the first). I saw a creepy ass looking tree, saw a piece of purple duct tape, and what do you know? Inside the tree was box 3. Good luck!

Also, we had to pass through Lambertville to get Box 3, so I'm guessing the dead girl was on her way to get the box.

I don't have a hand-held GPS.. so does anyone have any ideas on how I can tell if I'm near where I need to be?

And it all depends, but I can probably go visit Centralia too, if you guys want me to.

Hate to be a downer, but it looks like some sort of GPS device will be necessary to find this one. The coordinates are a random point along a park trail, and Google Maps doesn't show any obvious landmarks near the spot. Do you have friend with a smartphone you could shanghai into coming along? ChildOfAtom might be able to recommend some geocaching apps, and maybe it's possible Google Navigator would do in a pinch.

Hello everyone! I've been following EMH since the first box was planted, but never bothered posting until now. I live about 3 hours away from the coordinates, so if blight isn't able to find anything, I'd be willing to see if I can borrow a GPS and get my roommate to go searching with me on Sunday, if it's not already found by then.

If you have an iPhone you can just use the maps feature, it will guide you to coords just as easily as addresses. It's just a matter of getting your blue dot over to the red dot...

Most of the actual caching apps, that would make it easier, cost a couple bucks. Geopher Light would probably be the place to start.

But you are right, there's no way I'd hit those woods without some sort of GPS device. Reading the description of the nearest actual geocache it seems like there is some serious elevation change to be dealt with too. I think that parking lot might be at the base of a small cliff.

I'd go tomorrow, but we already have plans to go to DC. I'll just be driving all over this weekend. Laughing If that falls through, I'll definitely head out to the coordinates tomorrow instead.

Hey all, new member here and follower of the Slender Man mythos for about 2 months.

So, are there only 2 boxes? Because the book-box said it was the third and I checked back through the thread to see if I could find the second one, but couldn't. Does anyone know if someone posted on it?

Oh! So that was the second box? Was there a third, then? I'm a bit confused, I guess, since the note in the book-box (the second box) said 3/7.

There are 3 boxes so far, with coordinates for what we assume is a forth one just released last night.
Check out the Wiki (google everymanhybrid wiki) and you can see the contents of all three. You may be confused because this forum has only posted two boxes. The second box was found by a member of another forum.

That link contains every box. The first one was posted on Unfiction, the second on Something awful, but non members can't see the thread anymore, so Doc mirrored it for us. Just read through that link.
