From Wikipedia: The Chinese finger trap is also a commonly-used metaphor for a problem that can be overcome by relaxing, i.e., not trying too hard to solve it.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I think what needs to happen is a gathering of all the "agreed upon" facts, establishing the current 'base point' of the hunt - where the most current confirmed, fully connected pathing ends.

We know Columbus Circle, for certain. However, searching through all these 251 pages will be tedious eventually. I say we set up a new topic for further discussion - something cleaned, listing out the consensus of what's been figured out.

Thoughts?

is it important?

Is that particular cannon in the last episodes relevant?
What about the two forts in the comix? And the rook found throughout the vids?
What about the clock and its tics?
Or that Sextant? Whats it used for?
I got this down to the final twist. Location Location Location

According to my location:
1) No
2) No & No
3) YES & No
4) No

Re: rickrolling, LOST, hidden images
dreams

Was the rickrolling thing relevant or was that just Mulligan having some fun?

And what about the LOST numbers?

While I haven't been actively thinking about it, I still enjoy having dreams about it and having the feeling (while dreaming) that I'm having some revelation - that it is coming together.

Then I wake up and realize that I have basic things totally unanswered such as the episode with just the numbers.

And what does one make of the hidden images upon the overlapping of images?

Hi Spaniard,
* Pirates are all about having fun.

* I'm not sure about that. Have to check out the local directly because it is a little hard to tell from a birdie's eye. I honestly don't think so.

* I think most of us nuts on here have been dreaming about it. Hey, they say that thinking about something and dwelling on it before you go to sleep actually does give you a solution. This applies to every day life as well as treasure hunts. LOL!

* To tell you the truth I haven't thought about that. I'm sure there is something to it. I do see a pattern from the start, the other park and this location.
I did have to do a lot of overlay with all the maps and the computer screen the past 2 days. That was a pain in the tush.

Thank God it is not in the Bronx or Staten Island. I'd hate to have to pay for all those bridges.

On a side note. I have been doing a lot of research on this whole location and I just can't believe the connections. I found some really interesting information along with some help that I finally got. The two of us found related information. I really put a lot of hours into it the past 48 and found more and more connections. If I am able to get to the site and find this thing I will post it. It's so off the wall. There is really only two exact locations in this entire area that it could possibly be. I am going to go with the first one that my help has suggested. If not it has to be the other one that points to the connections.

Um...that's not good.
"Mystery giver leaves $10,000 in WTC donation box."

So, I don't mean to cause any unrest - I truly don't, but I found this while searching articles mentioning "$10,000" and "NYC" in recent history.

You don't think?

I seriously doubt that that story has any connection to the treasure. For one thing, the article is dated the 21st, so the donation happened at least 8 days ago. If the treasure had been found that long ago, I think the pirates would have told us by now.

Or it could be that there are those that have used up their time in the US and must hope that the gold will await their return... no sense givin' out yer secrets fer someone else ta find it before ye return!

Alas the pretty Swan is restin' her weary wings! Harrrr harrrrr

I'm with you. I check back because I'm at a wall, and I'll certainly be generous to the person that drops the hint that gets me over it, but I haven't had much to add lately. I think most of the talk recently has been way off base, but you never know.

And though its not my nature, let me offer a little taunt to a Certain Special person, who a month ago managed to insult everyone's intelligence on this board. Apparently, even having figured where $10,000k is buried and ripe for the taking, hasn't made time in a month to go dig it up. Or maybe he's just not the genius he thought he was.

There was another, much more polite individual who claimed to have figured it out. This person wants their gold. Have you gone back out? Have you decided your hunch was off? I'd love to hear more about your story, even if proved totally wrong, since it'd be nice to rev the mental juices up again.

Ahhhhh, but did ye know that the birdie reached it's nest in just one and a quarter turns of the baby's finger? That'd be like tying it's wings in 8 knots! It's no wonder the poor thing needs it's rest!
