At this point I think the wristband thing was def to know where people are, so they'll know where they can leave boxes and such. Which meant they always wanted to branch out of Jersey, but they weren't really sure in what direction - I think that's partially why the Land of Ashen Waste brainstorming lasted so long. Wink

@Didz: actually the first time I read the "Baby Vince" papers I understood the same thing - the mysterious Man made Vince kill the Reverend - considering the Reverend was (probably) the man who had abused him for a year, it probably wasn't that hard for the Man to push little Vince to do it. That ties in with my theory that Vince sees Slendy as an almost-pseudo positive figure subconsciously - the nonhuman monster "helped" him find the courage to fight against the human one. Poor baby. Sad
In the original Slenderman thread on SA there was def something about Slendy pushing people to kill rather than doing the deed himself.

Thats what made me think that Slendy had caused Vinnie to do it.

If we go with this theory, his current personality even really supports that. I mean, remember when everyone was all 'we should stop making the videos!' and he (vinnie) was all 'no! we can't let him win!' after being in such a position for a long time, and then being liberated, it is very easy to assume he would develop a sense of need to 'win' or atleast not to lose. And this may also be one of the reasons he has been hesitant to acknowledge slnedy as slendy rather than a prankster; admitting the supernatural ability of slendy would basically be saying that slendy is in a higher position (like the priest) and that vince would not have the ability to free himself/win; like when he was a child and couldn't save himself (until supernatural slendy comes along and prods him into it?)
Also it seems slightly interesting to me now that he said 'win' in light of the recent [continue?].

And the theory of jogging the memory is really interesting, and I almsot bought it save for the fact that both seem to mention a habit of some sort. In which case, maybe habit really is the connecting factor, and maybe we are missing soemthing. another being akin to slendy or rake? why else would 'fairmount evan' reply only to habit, other than generalpsychosis?

Yeah I noticed both mention Habit. So far we have Evan being nicknamed Habit by his mother and Captain Habit with Vinnie. I wonder if the word Habit is a trigger word for them.

People are expecting papers on Damsel, but without her first name it's unlikely we'd know it as her (they wouldnn't use Damsel, fan given and all that). But what about the post-que? Gives her name? Or more medical info in a dif light?

The more I've thought about it, the more HABIT seems like either a split personality of Evan, a sociopathic, murderous one perhaps induced by contact with Slendy or the Rake; or some sort of memetic being, not a true monster in the sense of Slender Man or the Rake, but something like a viral personality which a person contracts. If it is an actual monster, I would almost dare say it is something more Tulpa-ish than any of the ones we've encountered so far, requiring some sort of belief, fear, or psychosis in its targets to accrue power.

Don't forget the most conventional option: A plain old demon. It can apparently move from host to host, it apparently refers to itself in the plural in the first unsigned tweet ("Habit sees you. We are unbreakable.") like the Biblical Legion, and (stretching here) one of the most well-known demons in popular culture, the one from The Exorcist, introduced itself as Captain Howdy, possibly making "Captain Habit" a double allusion.

As much as I love the idea of actual demonic posession, I can't help thinking that would be too much of a shift in concept.

What exactly is the post que?
I have no idea what that even means.

Damsel said she'd left a small passage in the post-queue, which presumably means she'd written a post and set it to be published at a later date.

Since it's now been over three weeks since she said that, this is now officially the most annoying part of the game for me. If she thought she'd be put away for a while, why even bother post-dating the information? And how long did she think she'd be going away for? Maybe she intended to go on the lam as soon as she was released, abandoning canyouseethewords forever, with only a final message that would appear when she thought she would be far enough away or dead. It still seems kind of uncool to promise that there is important, clarifying information already written and ready to go but stuck in the ether somewhere.

She's been very reluctant to share any important information with us in the past, so it makes sense in-game for her to have set the post to appear so late - she only wanted us to know it if she was going to be detained for a very long time.

Another idea from a friend: the man that Vince mentions, when his parents discover the dead Reverend, might not be the Slender Man or the Rake, or even HABIT, but yet another creepypasta reference.

Some of you guys remember what Vince talk with Jeff when they find the dead girl?

Just a game, and we know how he feels about it:

I mean, at light of the information from the bag, Vince stops from being someone that is on denial to be a supect of being a slender puppet (I think saw this term here).

You could be on to something there. At least we've got some sort of idea that Vinnie has seen slendy before.
I honestly think that Habit could be a trigger word for the guys but the question is, trigger them to do what? Become mindless drones for slendy? OR it's a trigger word to help them remember the past. They don't seem to remember a lot. That's if they are the same patients in the admission letters.

Mind=Blown. Either they're making that man to be Slendy, or each Hybrid is a diff Eldritch Abomination's plaything.

I always thought that they would continue in some way with the dream aspect. It seems weird to me that they just brought it up for a few videos and then never hinted at it again. Especially wiht corenthals inability to sleep, i would kind of think some sleep/dream/subconscious stuff would be going on. maybe they're jsut ebign really subtle, but why have the dreams each of them had not been brought up again at all? vince running trough the forest, evan with hsi grandomother? i don't remember if jeff had one; or was it that he remembered about the school fire in his dream?

Taking a little break from the subject at hand at an attempt at some stupid humor:

For anyone who doesn't know makemebad35, he's an old school Youtuber (one of his lines from a video is actually in that "Jay Screaming at Masky" video that's out there) who makes these funny as hell videos of excessive swearing and weird out-of-place jokes.

He recently just posted a Halloween video, and the villain is...well, take a look:
