The files are radically different in terms of binary data, and as someone noted in a previous reply, a crosshair was removed from the initial posting. Maybe there's some steganography going on in these or perhaps even -between- these?

Someone with better eyes than myself might wanna do some analyses of these. Standard image analysis, WinMerge binary comparisons, something.

Well I've gave a quick look and didn't see anything, but it doesn't mean that I'm not just an idiot, or that there couldn't be steganography in one or both of these still...

For my binary comparisons I just was using a free file comparison program called WinMerge, shows them side by side and highlights differences. Bunch of garbage to my eyes...

One TwitPic comment claims the 'crosshair' that was removed was an 'Adobe After Effects' crosshair.

And yep it looks like that one pixel difference on the repost is from the very bottom line being chopped off.

The first image was 105,003 bytes, and the repost was 105,050 bytes.

Okay not radically different at all. I could just be assuming too much =)

Either way, the data's here. Enjoy and I guess I'll return to watching.

I think the repost of the pic was just a screw up with leaving the crosshairs in.

What an embarrassing way to kick of Season 2. Fumble the first pic.

Still, got to wonder about 23.... And does the operator symbol make it 24? Given all of the crazy stuff that happened in 23, we'd a few more clues to know what to look for there.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Operator symbol is PART of the markings? IE, we shouldn't be thinking 23, we should be thinking 24?

It's placement with the markings is deliberate, so I believe it's 24, not 23.

Perhaps the X in the operator symbol counts as two? So it's not 23, but 25? BUt...that means...
