Boy you are giving me trust issues.

EDIT: ALWAYS ON TOP!

You go girl! Mrs. (well, Miss I'll assume) 400!

But on a similar note, I do realize the excitement at the 400th page, let's not make this a fourchan/b thing where people are scrambling to get the 'get'. PLEASE. Mainly directed at people only posting to get the spot. The majority of you all are contributing or doing something non-spammy (ish).

Why don't we just ask Docjowles, since he is Jeff?

Back on topic... do you guys think that Damsel has been written out of the story for good? I really hope not, but the post-queue kind of makes it sound that way. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder, because I didn't realize she was my favorite character until it was too late...

(just kidding they're all my favorite)

Also something else I've been meaning to examine for a while, does anyone remember the story about (was it Fairmount Children's Home?) the headmaster who was abusive, and ultimately destroyed (but he came back to haunt kids)? Sorry, my memory is a bit vague on this point, if anyone could point me to the "article" that would be great...

... anyway, I've been wondering recently if this guy is going to factor into the story in a big way. Like maybe in this canon he is Slenderman/The Rake or something.

It's very possible, but I like to think that she (or her remains, depending on which way they want to go) will make a surprise reappearance at some point. I can see her either appearing as a Slendy puppet or popping up to save the day at some point.

And I'm sure I'm in a tiny minority, but for some reason I never much cared for her. Liked her artwork, though.

Pretty sure she'll be back. She's just "MIA", but will definitely pop up. Remember, we're roughly at the halfway point.

http://www.forgottenoh.com/Counties/Stark/fairmount.html

There are different views on Fairmount on the Internet it seems. After reading that a while back the thought of Slender Man being the headmaster's ghost DID occur to me but then it felt too obvious. Besides, we have medical reports saying that a child named Vince was possibly about to be molested by Reverend Green before "The Man" eviscerated him. In other words, it's possibly implied that Slender Man existed while the children's home still existed.

BUT I JUST REALIZED that the night where the headmaster died was in 1944, so it's STILL possible.

http://www.ohiotrespassers.com/fair.html

This article says it was a farm, where the children worked in exchange for food and board and the hauntings in question are that of the children themselves.

http://www.erblandbrown.org/Ohio/PDF/Fairmount%20Childerns%20Home%20Burns%20Article.pdf

This article talks about the place burning down. The headmistress at the time claims never seeing any ghosts.

Whatever we know about the place doesn't really seem to be solid.

All we know is that Dr. Corenthal worked there at one point.

I think the Fairmont/Corenthal situation has not fully played out yet. I am guessing that Centralia is endgame material so Fairmount might be the best area of leads for now.

I believe she's gone from the story, at least for a long time. And I know what you mean, although most people should have caught on by now that she's my favorite.

Odd observation as I was looking for clues from CYSTW. http://canyouseethewords.com/photo/1280/1093323026/1/tumblr_l8hyz3y9821qc8om5
Are her glasses legit, or just for fashion? I can't really tell to well from the lenses, anyone can help here?

Thanks AxMxK! I love the complexity, but it really is hard to keep track of all this stuff sometimes... thank the lord for the wiki, but even that is less helpful to me now that they've changed the interface around...

I still have my suspicions that the headmaster = Slenderman, but this part:

standing over children's beds at night

makes me think The Rake might be a possibility, too. Still have no idea what to think of our "time travel" problem (and I'm a person who loves the concept, but it kind of feels silly here).

That's the other thing I'm wondering... what are we meant to do with Fairmount? It seems like a pretty important location, but recently all signs have been pointing to Centralia...

Can't imagine that she's gone for good. They went to an awful lot of trouble to set her up, give her a back story, and fill in her character to just write her out. I mean... in some ways we know more about her than some of the more "integral" characters like Jessalyn.

I get the feeling that she's been taken off the board for a reason. If everyone ends up in the "Ark" for instance, displaced from time in that basement, but she's still in the real world to rally the troops (us) because she was protected by being in an inaccessible location... dunno... just spinning it out the way *I'd* write it...

The last thing on that article is the phone number for the author of aforementioned article that I just mentioned in the same sentence as this one.

What if we were to call this guy and ask about a Dr. James Corenthal?

And "AMK" works fine for me peoples. I put the Xs in there because apparently I need more than 3 characters for a screen name. Same thing for DeviantArt.

EDIT: Have you SEEN these pics:

Imagine if the EMH guys managed to film something in there! Too bad it's guarded and they'd get arrested...

Excuse the forests of epilepsy, but i've been thinking about time travel...

Perhaps we are approaching this from the wrong way round. Instead of working out ways that out hybrids have 'travelled' through time (stasis, actual travel, teleportation, or whatever), perhaps we should be looking at Slender Man manipulating time back then to reflect reality now. Using the Buffy/Dawn analogy someone posted a while back, perhaps we are seeing slenderman changing history to incorporate our people, creating them in the past so to speak, and thus altering reality back then, and which continues now!

Also (and sorry for the long post folks), perhaps we should be concentrating on both Centralia and Fairmount. It is an incredibly well thought out game and i am constantly blown away by the depths that the hybrids have gone to to make it all work. I just dont think they would have let any information slip out if they didn't want us to use it. We should not try and second guess them, i.e. "centralia is for the endgame, so we leave it for now", but just conduct this like we would in real life - we would go for every clue we could get to. Just my twopenn'orth.

Wow, long post.

Interesting, and a little fun

The names Jessa and Jessie are both derived from the Hebrew name Jessica, meaning "He sees"

Who sees, and what it is He is actually seeing, i shall leave it to you to decide!
