The "tulpa effect" he mentions is definitely an interesting concept. Apparently he's suggesting that Slendy is just a manifestation of the sheer willpower of these people. It could be present in EMH, especially in the case of 'lil Vince, who could've "conjured him forth" out of fear and need for protection from the Reverend.

In any case, it seems to be too thorough for a gamejack, although with all his name-dropping it's hard to tell where his blog fits in. It wouldn't hurt to send the guys a message about this and see what they say.

So, yea, not a gamejack, but I would say a tie in possibility. Either now or down the road, but I think that would make the threat against Damsel less scary.

So what to do next at this point? I'm wondering if the real answer is nothing. Don't get me wrong, I am horribly addicted to this series at this point, and absolutely love what they have created so far. I am seriously wondering if this is indeed an ARG where we have something to do or just a very well done show with some ARGish elements attached. So far, the only things we as viewers have been directly called on for is to investigate the coordinates. While I am super jealous of those who have boxes, there doesn't seem to be anything substantial gained from them other than a cool piece of memorabilia. The last pack had the cypher to solve, but solving it did not further the game in any way. They definitely add to the creep factor and immersion, but do not seem to affect the story. Also just going by some of the interactions people have had with them, I haven't seen anything that would direct us to take further action. We tried to get the guys to work with Damsel, and that was shutdown quickly. Other than that, have we done anything that has had any impact on the story?
