I discovered Marble Hornets from a thread about Slenderman on another forum I go to. My initial response to the thread (after viewing a few pages of that SA paranormal thread thing) was more or less "it's a cool concept but it's not scary. The photoshopping is too obvious, the blood in that one's obviously just a splatterbrush, etc".

Then I watched Marble Hornets. Shocked

I found Marble Hornets after browsing through a board I frequent and finding a subject about it. After I kept seeing it, I figured I'd check it out, and I... Think it was a week or so after it had ended. Came late to the party, I'm afraid! I had also watched this late at night by myself.

Then found this board, and I've been lurking ever since! So excited for it to start up again.

I found it because a friend of mine hooked me on Slenderman. I was trawling the old SA thread and got linked to it. And boom, I was caught.

I got into it late(Entry 20ish or so) so I can't wait to actually be around for all the rampant speculation!

I found it because I wanted to know what the hell a Slenderman was. I didn't see how a faceless man in a suit was scary...

._. a few clicks on 'Know Your Meme' later, and I was doomed to obsess over Marble Hornets.

META
is so wrong.

Dray wrote:

(I know that it's silly to do this because I imagine that it must just be that Troy wrote one fast and one he was more deliberate with, but I imagine that if he wanted them to look very different he would have gotten someone else to do the newest image; am I allowed to analyze via meta? Lololololol etc.)

Whoa, meta is so very incorrect.

Please continue.

Dray, you're my favourite.

I found out about Slenderman from a thread on Unexplained Mysteries. And after reading in it about Marble Hornets I decided to watch and ended up archive binging the whole series in one day. I think this was around the time of Entry #23. That's also when I started lurking this board. :p

I found out about marblehornets by accident. i was on facebook and i went to an old friends page to write hello and whatnot, and through facebooks stalkerfeed, i saw that he had posted introduction onto his friends wall with the words
"watch. lose sleep"
written on it. so, since i love horror, i naturally watched it. that night, i watched all of the entries (there were about 19 at the time i think)

The feast is about to begin!

Take your chairs ladies and gentlemen, the show is about to begin.

I don't mind waiting. So much exciting stuff happening in November to keep me occupied. Razz

If you get so impatient that you're ready to EAT a baby, let me know. This is the danger zone.

I hope they start posting more pictures during the long breaks in between entries. They tell us more than text updates, and they're more exciting as well.

Dav, awesome playlist! So sorry about the not-getting-back-to-you about that animation: life got all up ons and when I PM'd the MH crew, they sounded hesitant about the thought of any sort of tampering so I was dissuaded.

I'm impatient too, though not so much in the imminently posting, excited fashion as in the tired but certain that there's no chance of 'em posting for another two weeks. Sort of like when you're in the middle of a work shift and know there's x amount of hours left, though there's nothing you can do to speed it up! XD

Once we get closer to the 23rd, I think I'll be more on the edge of my seat.

In the meantime, maybe we can brainstorm some kind of contest or challenge or something to fill the upcoming couple of weeks? I wouldn't mind a drawing challenge or a trivia contest or something!

I like the pictures as updates as well; they fit with TTA's ambiguous theme and play into the fact that TTA don't text -- er, tweet, in this case. I don't think that they'd make as much sense for Jay, but I think that when we get ahold of Jay (if TTA isn't going to be our kindly narrator and catch-up-explainer for the last six months) having the contrast between images and text will be a nice revelation. "Woah, not a picture... JAY'S BACK!!!1"

I am looking forward to biting my nails over Jay's health again. XD That was really amusing.
