I think the reason Slenderman was targeting Evan was because Evan is somehow an agent or tool of the Rake. Except by that logic it would be Vincent with claw marks not Alex. I really think we need more information before we can draw any relations between the Monsters and the Hybrids. The only commonality between who's being targeted lately is Jeff.

I only think that because Evan is hardcore against slendy. He wants him dead, gone, away, which seems to also be the motive of the Rake. Yes he was the first to go insane, and get stalked by Slendy, but why Evan out of everyone?

And Vinnie is so calm and cooled about the whole Slender Man ordeal. He has only actually said Slender Man once throughout the whole series. He doesn't want to acknowledge him, and he tried to convince everyone else that it is something different. He has way too much denial, don't you think?

Or maybe I am just looking into it too much, we'll see!

We have no basis what so ever for the motives of The Rake. There isn't even mention of trying to destroy Slender Man outside of Evan. Somewhere along the line someone tried to make the random packages out to be clues from the mystery HABIT entity as clues to destroy Slender Man, and someone else connected them to The Rake. There's absolutely zero in story collaboration for this.

Okay, I think someone mentioned this earlier, not sure where, and I felt the need to expand on it.

I think the Rake, El Rakenheim, da Rakester, The Rakenator, may well be a far less significant threat than Slendy. Now, before we get into what the Rake COULD do, let's think about what the Rake HAS done. He crawls around, lives in air ducts, closets, and forests, and cuts/generically assaults people. He's also appeared at least once in the company of Slender. Beyond that, we don't know what mental or reality-bending effect he has on people. My current assumption is that he's a purely physical being, or beyond that, he can somehow mess with Slender's victims in some more-than-physical, but limited, way.

But, beyond that, he's still a physical mandogthing, much like Manbearpig. And unlike Manbearpig's ability to cause global warming, The Rake seems to have much less power over the real world, especially compared to Slendy. So, even that much-ridiculed bat Alex has on hand might be able to ward the thing off, or even hurt it. And, while we know Slender is quite immune to most physical forms of damage, Rakey might be quite vulnerable to a good old fashioned shotgun blast to the face.

First: Manbearpig?!?!?

Second: Everything up to now, it was The Rake (TR) feeling his enviroment and checking if SM would be interested in Alex or not. Now shit got real.

To the guys talking with Hybrids and Alex: I would suggest if him come closer to the crew, hoping to make SM and TR fight. Besides it would be very cool, it might help the guys to taking care of whatever is left barely standing in the end.

I doubt a shotgun blast could take out MBP -he's like half man, half bearpig...

And yeah, other than super creepy limberness, the Rake hasn't necessarily shown any powers beyond physical strength/deadliness. And we really don't know if there is a conflict between slendy and the rake, for all we know they're partners in crime.

I'd like to see what the guys reaction to the rake, because from their point of view, I doubt they're very aware of it. They saw it at Lambertville which is XX miles away from their homes, and I don't think they've had any other interactions with it, since they're unaware of Alex's problems.


Also a side note - what if Jessa and Alex weren't targeted to get to Jeff, but they were targeted through him? Not saying that he has to be a puppet or something, but maybe they went after him, found something special making it so they couldn't get him directly, so moved on to his loved ones?

There's also common incidents within the Slender Man mythology of Him targeting family/friends/loved ones to draw out His main target's fear, paranoia, and loss. It all feeds back into driving his victims to insanity.

I'm still waiting for them to take a page from old slendy stuff and have Optic Nerve or some similar organization cleansweep everything.

Got a message from him earlier which was just "yeah" after I told him I didn't know the scratches were that bad. I watched the vid and I think he definetly says black eyes. At least it chowed down on the exterminator rather than Alex or Sparky eh?
Anyways, after watching that I sent him another message with the following points:
1. Tell Jeff.
2. Jeff and Vinnie may have seen the same creature.
3. To make sure it's the same creature I've told him to watch the "no body' video.
4. Told him I'd do some research on The Rake to find out what it was doing there and why it's scratching him etc.
5. Let him know that the bat could help him show the creature that he's willing to fight it off.
6. Told him to stay calm and keep his wits about it otherwise he'll end up going insane causing more harm than good to himself.
7. Told him that, if he can, to keep his camera running at night.
8. Asked him to draw the creature so we get a better idea of what it looks like so we can confirm what it is and try to help him.
9. Told him that we're sorry this is happening to him.

So just need to sit back and see what happens.
