hmm.. I'm typing up a manuscript of the letter the best I can. There's a couple of words I can't read, but I can read a majority of it.

The last child from the "Mining-Town Four" has finally succumbed. I have absolutely failed these children as a doctor and as their protector. My old partner, Roberts, has been trying to reassure me of myself - of the nature of my job. He tries to reason that it is out of my control - I chose the ????? that generally stood no chance to begin with and that I must not take it out on myself when failure inevitably arrived.

My other current patient, the girl from the horrible New York attacks, ???'? on emotional life support, as well, at present. We were a family. Evan, Vincent, Jeffrey, -----, and now, Linnie's in danger, more so than ever. No child deserves this. Linnie... she's different from the others. Her personal demon is much more feral in comparison to the others. You cannot understand how terribly useless I feel.

I was their only hope. The other "professionals" insisted that they were criminals of their own thought. Homicidal children - not these angels. I was the only one who was willing to hear their pleas and I let them down. They were my own children, simply not biologically. I refuse to let my remaining daugher become another tally. I cannot explain the creatures behind my children's misery, but I have a few theories. Maybe I'll peruse little Evan's picture diary, but the Good Lord knows that I can barely bring myself to catch a glimpse of his camera, whic hnever fit comfortably in his meek hands.

I'm going to take Linnie east. We cnanot stayi n Ohio any longer. We'll find others, others who know. She'll live a good life without me. She'll grow up, she'll forget me, the others. It's for the best.

I'd better get to those photographs. (Jeffrey also wrote me a series of short-stories. Vincent and dearest ------ were more so visual young artists. I must retrieve my old trunk with their treasures in it soon.)

Wow, that's really...exciting? Creepy? Both? I gave them my address for the wristbands and I would freak out if I got something. It would be great.

This is actually...really useful information. It seems like Dr. Corenthal changed his mind about Evan and Vincent, at least, in the years following the letters in the box/bag.

First off, as someone who sent in my address-- FFFFFFFUUUUUUU

I kinda thought it looked like "A DAY IN THE ARK" on the envelope. Guess we'll know when the next photo goes up Thank you for posting that, even if I am now creeped the hell out.

On the writing in the back of the envelope: if the letter is #7 of a numbered sequence (and "VII" written all over it pretty much screams out that it is), maybe if we had all the envelopes the letters on the back would spell out a message - so we can expect to see "ELIFE" on the back of one of the other envelopes to spell the rest of "ADAYINTHELIFE", and one of the other envelopes has the first part of the phrase which ends in "RK". Perhaps "WELCOMETOTHEA"?

Someone mentioned this theory a few pages back but:

Back when we first began to talk about how we might be hallucinating the things they can't see, I started thinking that maybe it would end with everything Slenderman being deleted from EverymanHYBRID's Youtube and Twitter and all being replaced with stuff that happened "normally".. as if EverymanHYBRID had just continued as a successful health program on the internet with some fake SlenderMan sightings and it was our own insanity that caused us to see the entire series derail into a SlenderMan story of epic proportions.

I remain so baffled about the timeline of the Corenthal letters. While it absolutely could make sense for Evan ₂ and Vincent ₂ to still be in Corenthal's care ten years later, wasn't Linnie a teenager in 1964 in the Rake creepypasta? (Which was pretty clearly referenced by their inclusion of her/response to the letter in the creepypasta.) Jumping from 1971 to 1981 in the letters from Corenthal also seems weird, though viable. (And might make sense in the context of other letters.)

My thoughts!:

1. Someone said reincarnation as an option here. Weird, but if Linnie died in 1964, then a reincarnated Corenthal Linnie would likely be about the same age range as the other kids Corenthal's dealing with. (And the boys dying in the mid-80s would likely put them at the correct age for themselves now. Or something.) I don't love it, but it's feasible.

2. Alternately, are we sure the dates on Corenthal's papers are legit? I mean, we're just taking them at face value, but there is enough of a mind screw element going on here that those dates could either be completely arbitrary, or be meaningful in some way other than chronologically.

3. Right now I'm just trying to roll with things by handwaving and telling myself it could all just be nightmare logic and it's not even supposed to make sense in some sort of rational way.

4. I'll be interested to see if other folks get letters. I was sort of hoping you all would. (Getting something in the mail from Logan was trufax one of the creepiest parts of JAF.) Both sad and kind of relieved I wasn't following this early enough to give these guys my address this time.

I was never a big fan of the idea Linnie (or William) were the same from the original creepypasta. I think it's more of an homage to it.
I think our dear blacked out name may be our dear Damsel. Or Jessa? Damsel is an artist, and I would assume Jessa may be as well if they met at college.
