So for those of us who just accidently cluttered up the EMH thread......COHEED AND CAMBRIA! where were we?

Jeff is a rabbit! Apparently.

On that note, haven't picked up this/last month's comic yet. Isn't Sizer's torture coming soon?

I believe so. I'm not sure how far into the story they've gotten. I've not managed to get any of the comics yet just the albums. I was gutted when Josh Eppard left them but Chris is doing a damn good job as the new drummer. Josh's rap stuff is pretty good too tbh.
It just made me giggle how when I was listening to Co+Ca earlier there were so many links to EMH lol.

Seriously, I wiki'd that shit before, and it kinda scared me Embarassed

I got into the music before anything else tbh. When I found out there was a story line behind them I checked up on:
http://cobaltandcalcium.com/story/ to find out what song occurs during it. Then I read the comics.

It's a hell of a story to follow but I think it's genius. I've got a comic idea on the go at the moment. Still trying to find time to sit down and start doodling it out but it's a long complicated one like the co+ca one. More psychological horror than sci fi though. If you need any help feel free to ask. From the looks of it theres a fair few of us that can help you lol.

Yeah. I heard a couple of their songs and looked them up on Wikipedia a few years ago. I made the mistake of clicking the link about the story. My brain melted after trying to read the summary.

haha I think the basic gist is that boy has happy life, parents don't know they're robot/cyborgs, find out, kill family, boy escapes, destroys planetary system. There's a hell of a lot to get to grips with but it's worth the read. Some of the songs are epic. I was very happy to see welcome home on rock band.....I'm now shit hot on the drums playing it now lol.

Okay guys! EMH in-game song wishlist time!

Suicide - Frankie Teardrop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5wJQkvSoOQ - Just a really creepy song about child murder.

Modest Mouse - Cowboy Dan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBjiYZiv5RE - Seems to fit the desperation and nihilism of certain characters.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Say Goodbye to the Little Girl Tree http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7whtKsXifaY - Just listen to the lyrics, man. This has EMH written all over it.

Tom Waits - Rain Dogs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVaEPx_VyXs - Aside from the rain imagery, "Oh how we danced, and she whispered to me, You'll never be going back home."

Since they started using Animal Collective, I've gotten way more into them. But I just can't listen to Flesh Canoe if I see the title. Whenever I see it, I have to change it. Ugh, too many disturbing and gross things come to mind.

Music-wise, if you wanna follow the story, you should start with their newest album, Year of the Black Rainbow. Their other albums are in chronological order. And yeah, Cobalt & Calcium is a good place to get the run-down of the story. Although, it still hasn't all come together yet. XD

And since we were kinda on the subject of side-projects, does anyone listen to Prize Fighter Inferno? Because it is delicious.
