Hmm. That's some interesting stuff...I'd really like to know how all these fires interact with the water motif we've got going, though.

Well, there's been some speculation that Slendy might be a god or god-like being. When we look at the god best-known to most Americans, we see that he had two methods of destructive purification in his toolbox: water and fire. He used water once to wipe out the whole dirty human race, barring a handful of specially chosen people in an ark; he's promised to use fire for a similar purpose at some unspecified future time.

Note that I'm not saying Slendy is the god of the Bible, or an avatar thereof. I'm just saying that these are practices we can associate with gods who are disappointed in their children. Fire and water are like a Phillips head and flat head screwdrivers, the same essential tool for the same basic purpose, but suited for different specific needs.

Perhaps Slender Man is simply a creature from another world/universe and he's a god compared to us; look at Superman.

In this case, maybe the guys will find some kind of Kyptonite (for endgame, of course)?

Hey guys been a lurker but need to inquire/contribute a little something.
now this very well might be old news but with 500 pages of info im not sure.
Now to the point, has there been any discussion on Evan's odd choice in dress?

How'd you mean odd?

This, please this. Anything but time travel. Big hi to all the new people. You must be very brave to jump into the deep end of this crazy pool but glad to see people still getting involved and not intimidated. As far as guest with agenda goes, we have been yelling for subforums and stuff since around page 200, so 300 pages later, does not look like it is happening.

someone above stated it has been discussed and is now moot.
which is true since it appears all of the hybrids may be from another time.
But, even though they all seem to be from another time, Evan has been pretty much showing this in his clothes and inability to try/understand basic new technology(i.e. not knowing what a USB etc) and to the point of his clothing every thing he wheres is a reference the the late 60's through the mid 80's. He does where modern interpretations of these thing but they are still from that time period.
examples being
Grindhouse shirt - movie parodying 70's B rated cinema
Bioshock shirt - Video game about a crumbling early 50's to 60's dystopia
White Zombie shirt- Mid 80's Metal Band
Iron Maiden shirt- Mid 70's Rock Band
Motor Head shirts- Mid 70s rock Band
the only shirt that i have seen him wear that doesn't fit within this time period is either a blank shirt or his Chainsaw shirt but the writing on this one is very 70's-esque

Well, chainsaws were created in the 1920's if that counts for anything.

EDIT:: Although, Texas Chainsaw Massacre was 1974... maybe that's what the shirt alludes to?

Ignored
The silence pierces my heart

Hello again, remember me?, I'm that guy, yeah, the one with the agenda, the one with the plan, the one the appeals to God made from his knees begging, pleading, demanding, with soft hands and a sharp tongue, a higher level of organization for this fuckin' thread, it's a mess, a convoluted travesty, a rippling tidal wave of digression, for fucks sake just listen to me, quote me, reply to me, take my advice into account, discuss, argue, tell me off, say i'm right, give me a high five, do something please before this thread grows to such large proportions that it
engulfs
the
world.

Did you see the establishment of the News Thread, also in the Slender Man forum? I think that's a fantastic start myself.

Though I'd argue that once a particular ARG hits 508 pages it really does merit its own subforum at the very least.

Maybe the shirts don't mean anything? I mean, just because Vince wore a red and black plaid flannel doesn't mean he's a lumberjack. It could just be his style.

the shirt says chainsaw beats rock, paper, and scissors.
but you might be right because the font is super similar to Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I was gonna say about the clothes that I don't think they're all that odd. My boyfriend always wears Iron Maiden and Motorhead t-shirts. Either that or he's not from this era lol. I think it's just a fashion thing tbh rather than having an odd dress sense.

I gotta say, if Evan really is from the 70's, then the guys are VERY good at putting in those small small details that hint towards it.

Yeah, okay, someone ought to make a news thread that is only for posting updates, for people who want to follow along without reading/discussing things at length here. This thread has gotten way too long and chatty to just keep everything in one place.

edit: oops I'm blind
