Same here. It's a pity really. I enjoyed our off topic chats lol.

No word from the other Hybrids either. All's quiet on the Eastern Front, it seems :/

Go through the three hidden videos, and time how long each scene lasts. Then give us that info so we can try to spot patterns.

I meant the clips from the day Jessa, Evan and Jeff went to the woods and found those bags.

Ah. I think we've got multiple conversations intertwining. Smile

Well, on that subject- it'd be pretty hard since we don't have a clue about the timeline of that video. Did we even decide if they are part of a day in the life? i kinda got lost in the massive offtopicness.

Which has given my a complex about my decision to go cleanshaven again, btw.

LOL. I aspire to that level of clarity. Wink

I think it was determined that, at least in the scene with the bags, Jeff and Jessa's clothes don't match those from the "Day in the Life" video. I'm not sure about the other hiking scenes cut into "Centralia", though.

More specifically on House of Leaves- I literally pulled out my copy and have it with me now, don't you love me- there is a sort of pun Zampano makes with the sequence at the end. Once Jed's taps make it through the house and Navidson, Reston and Tom get ready to go on their rescue mission, Karen calls her mother:

Zampano wrote:
...thus providing an acoustic message hidden within the already established visual one: three busy signals, three rings.
In other words:

(or)

SO?

Johnny goes on to comment on it, talking about his time in Alaska. But that's not relevant. When I get back from dinner I'll look through for other suspicious things, like the context of "Be not like me; I am alone". Feel free to request for me to look around- my copy has notes and underlinings on every page, lmao.

I just looked at "..." with the extremely scientific method of watching it in VLC at 0.33x speed. My results:
clip 01 00:00-00:03
clip 02 00:03-00:06
clip 03 00:06-00:08 ?? [black screen, music]
clip 04 00:08-00:13
clip 05 00:13-00:27
clip 06 00:27-00:29 [music, trees]
clip 07 00:29-00:38
clip 08 00:38-00:42 [music, guys going upstairs]
clip 09 00:42-00:48
clip 10 00:48-00:50 [music, driving past trees]
clip 11 00:50-01:05
clip 12 01:05-01:07 [music, driving past trees]
clip 13 01:07-01:13
clip 14 01:13-01:24
clip 15 01:24-01:51
clip 16 01:51-02:01
clip 17 02:01-02:02 [backwards footage, slendy door]

Not sure there's much there there, unless the morse code is only in the clips with the music?

I'd almost call the book a self contained ARG- or something like that. I read it the first time through without thinking anything other then 'this is an interesting, experimental way to tell a story'. Then i looked at the authors website and found countless bits of clues, speculations, hints, and trivia... my second read through was a lot more interesting. It took ten years to write, apparently, and if you go far enough down the rabbit hole, you can appreciate why.

It'll be something I enjoy then lol. I like to force my brain to work. So long as it's not math. I can't read numbers, numerical dyslexia and all that. Nightmare. At least I'm always happy with trying to think of connections and remember back to things that have happened. Got to keep my memory active as it slips otherwise lol.

So numbers: 3, 3, 2*,5, 14, 2*, 9, 4*, 6, 2*, 15, 2*, 6, 11, 27, 10, 1.

Um.. not seeing anything at a glance, but it's interesting the music only shows up in 2 (and one four second) intervals. Wild mass guessing, ..-..?

Edit: I didn't realise that altering the spacing could change the meaning so much in morse- I first got a 'untranslateable".. then be inserting spaces at random got 'fe' 'ue' ore even 'itee'.

This is probably not as productive as i'd hoped it would be... There still could be something buried in there, but.. it's not just morse for 'ALEX IS SCREWED'.

I'm sorry if I'm being noobish, I try not to be with this mythos, but this could be morse code. How it would translate I'm not sure of. But there's a "..." video and a "-." and a "- - -" video. If this time signature list is pertinent, maybe they're trying to tell us something, like about the water/drowning clips that pop up all the time.
