I noticed a few things that may or may not be relevant:

Punch Out (10) is one of the pins. There are 3 other games with Out in the title -- 26 Burnout, 2 Outrun, 42 Fallout. All of these games are in the first puzzle area of the map and the last 3 are really pretty close together.

What does "Endgame" refer to? Tron Evolution is the 167th game. Next to it is Omega Race, which could translate roughly to End Game.

When you get the badge for completing the Arcade Challenge v2, the post says "Aces!" There are 2 games that end in Ace, Space Ace and Burning Ace. (You could count 3 if you include omega rACE). Space Ace is near the 3 Outs mentioned above. Burning Ace is near Tron Evolution and Omega Race.

Am I chasing my tail here or could these be part of a connect-the-dots, gerrymandering line?

The most recent entry on flynnlives.com gives some good hints about the pins.

"These are more than just pins - they're reminders of who we are"..."we'll wear these pins as a badge of honor."

It seems to be saying the pins will identify us. The face off badge seemed really random at first, but I think it's reinforcing the same message. We can use the pins to identify or "unmask" each other. Not sure if the Punch-out pin means anything -- maybe it refers to a big event or a fight.

I was thinking the pins would identify us like tickets at an event. After all, there are two pins, so you could bring a friend. If it's a movie related identification -- maybe it could let us into a pre screening or get us in early to the first showing -- or free popcorn . Those don't seem too likely since it would require organizing in lots of locations.

I think the pins will mainly allow us to identify the each other -- possibly when going to see the movie.

There could be a game involved -- maybe you meet flynnlives people you see at the theater and enter their flynnlives ids online afterwards, but things like that are too easy to cheat online.

Unfortunately, I didn't know about flynnlives in the earlier stages, so it's hard for me to compare these ideas with earlier challenges.

In any case, the reposting of the link to the Arcade Aid V2 game on flynnlives means that there probably are (or there were a couple days ago) pins left if you or your friends didn't finish Arcade Aid V2 yet.


Other stuff I'm wondering about:
Of course the Nov 18 daft punk thing.

The chopping machine thing on the forum seems out of place -- the only chopping-like thing I can think of is the blades from the (tron) helicopter.
Also, I suppose chopping onions is a bit like digitally chopping up the orange (and Flynn) in the original tron. That's a bit of a stretch, and of course maybe that post doesn't mean anything.

Louisville Ky here, just got my punch out and Tron guard today. Big thanks to 42E for the cool swag.

My girlfriend is still waiting, but she completed the puzzle a week or so after I did. Hoping she gets a lightcycle so I can nab it!
