Crap, things are moving fast now! Goslanen has hacked the twitter and put another post up. He's also been a busy little bee commenting. So far, here's the score on the three questions:

1. "Who am I?" No answers on this one except for the crew. Jason said "Rumplestiltskin", and Jackson replied via twitter and called him an annoying pest. Suffice to say, this one still hasn't been answered, and I don't think the offers up for him to tell us if we get it right anymore. Goslanen also said that as a consequence for failing this one, one of the team-mates has been kidnapped. I'm not sure what to make of that, personally
2. "Why am I doing this?" Answers for this one include "Because you are sick and twisted," to Ravan's brilliant "Because of Mara". Jason doesn't seem to care why anymore, and responded to the question with a question, "Why do you hate what we have so much that you feel as if you must destroy it?" Does anyone else think this could be a clue? I'm thinking we might need to brain-storm an answer to that ourselves. Again, no solid answer to the original or Jason's question is given, so I presume our guesses are off the mark.
3. "What does it take for a friendship to succeed?" I guessed trust or Cooperation on this one, and apparently that was way off base. Ravan put up time, which fared better, but wasn't right either. Maduin(Another puppetmaster? He's got a pretty fully-functioning blog, I'm not sure if he's just commenting because he wants to play the game or if the blogs are linked somehow. Rambling!) put in a long response that eventually amounted to what I'm guessing was the correct answer, "Sacrifice." Goslanen seems pretty pleased with that. The question is, why? I think this has something to do with the whole "I've taken one of your friends" angle in the first question's consequences.

No new posts after that yet, guess we'll wait and see.

Nice summary, Gentleman. Smile Goslanen is getting... interesting. I'm about to crash, but I'll watch the video and edit in some thoughts later.

New tweet, links to a Jackson video! Sort of.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcMS3OtLfO8

EDIT: Literally a "sort of" Jackson video, especially since it's on Goslanen's account and... really ends with Jackson not all that home. Looks like Jack's been caught/possessed? His facial expression at the end is actually really unnerving.

Um...that's not Jackson at the end of the video, Ravan. I think that's Goslanen Shocked

We see Jack's face for just a little bit when he's going back into the hall-way, and though it's kind of blurry, I'm pretty sure that's not him

O.o I honestly wasn't sure since I was half asleep-- I went back and you're right, I think.

TBH, EMH has trained me on scary videos right before I pass out, xD

So I've had this Slendy blog on my favorites list for a while now and i've never looked at it until tonight read everything,I'm caught up and watched the latest vid....

That freakin guy at the end of the video is not Jackson, you can just tell right away,Jackson had a sorta tax collector's coat on at the start of the vid. Obviously this guy is goslanen.

I'm thinkin the scenario went something like this: Jackson was about to say something, gets hit over the head by goslanen and goslanen picks up the camera to show everybody his demonic grin.

Y'all are definitely right. Goslanen just emailed me.

"Little Ravan,

Jackson is sadly in time out. He's been a very bad boy as of late, and the blatant abuse of his privileges simply couldn't be ignored. Peeping Tom that he is, I'm afraid he won't be seeing much of anything, very soon. ~0~

It really is sad that he didn't knock before entering. I even waited patiently outside to greet him...

...but he ignored me, like he always has. I suppose we still have manners to teach him, yes? That's alright...we have plenty of time, and reform school is my specialty.

~0~"

Alright, I've gone over the video with the metaphorical fine-toothed comb, and I've sound something that's interesting and just a little bit disturbing...

If you listen to the video, from about 3:33-3:38 is the knockout scene, right? Something happens, Jackson falls over. I've been working under the assumption that he got hit in the head, or the small of the back, or something of that nature. But looking over it, I don't think that's it.

Right about the time Jackson starts to fall over, notice there isn't any real impact sound. It doesn't sound like he got hit, and he also doesn't make a grunt or any sort of noise. Granted, this could just be an error in the filming, but then there's also a very pronounced exhale from Jackson as he's going down, almost as if the breath was being, I don't know, sucked out of him? Something about this just sticks out to me as weird. So far, they've been pretty meticulous about their details, so there has to be some kind of significance to that. Or, maybe I'm insane, that's also possible Wink

He sounds exactly like Comic Book Guy so honestly I was glad to see him get plonked.

@Caller
You are right my friend, you would have to hear some physical knocking or a cry or something along those lines. It was just plain wierd the way he went down.

P.S Sorry to go a bit off topic but nobody has mentioned this before... in all of these scenarios being in any of these Slender stories nobody once carries a gun? I know that it would kill the story but that would be a simple solution to alll of your Slendy problems.

I've been thinking about that too, Sal. I guess under the auspices of realism it kind of depends on the setting for the blog, since you'd have to be somewhere with concealed carry laws, or have a character that is willing to break the law.

Doesn't he clutch his coat a few times? It seemed like he was feeling for something to me. I'm not sure it was a gun, since that to me implies some sort of murderous intent, but it was probably a weapon of some kind.

Holy Ninja Edit Batman: There's a new post up, and it's...wow.

Goslanen/Matt has a new post up, following the new post from Frank.

Quote:
Aša

It was foretold:

"Thin time shall repeat itself -

Though the cycle be everlong,

The brevity of man becomes

Its Lethegion."

I'm particularly latched on to the whole brevity bit, just because of this earlier comment, "Soul is the brevity of wit". Anyone else think these are connected somehow? If soul is the brevity of wit, what is the brevity of man? Lethegion is pretty clearly the Slender-entity for this story, so maybe it's a hint to the whole transformative process Slendy uses on his minions? I don't know, maybe I'm just grasping at straws, lol

I guess that just depends on whether man has a soul.

The way I read it, the author considers men to be witless souls, but what is a Lethegion? I recognize "lethe" from greek mythology...maybe he thinks that the shortness of a human's life (or perhaps sight) decrees him to be forgetful.

lol, that's deep.

The only character who didn't really get any blog time from the beginning ends up being the villain...but he's right. I read the whole thing through and completely forgot about him.

He's a forgettable character, all in all, but that makes him a weakness in the group and the story - a back door to slenderfication, if you will. This would assume some reason for breaking into this particular group, and I reference ravanjedi when I say that I think it's Mara.

I guess the question is, why Mara? I mean, if she hadn't been the target of these attacks, she'd be an otherwise forgettable character too. I'm just not sold that the reason is her yet, especially after the latest "Defiance" post. I mean, we assume this is about Mara, but what if it isn't? Maybe Mara's a means to an end, or something. I'm pegging Jason as a probable target, personally.

If by "means to an end" you mean "vessel to some unholy child," you are correct! I was pretty sick for the past week or so, so apologies for the AWOL! But I come back with the news that Mara is pregnant. Come join in on the group of people impotently threatening Goslanen while he mentions "slender discontent" and that Mara is pregnant with a faerie.

I feel like a saleswoman. I bring you news while Goslanen threatens everyone.
