[QUESTION] Are the cancelled axons still ringing? Are the cancelled axons for the current set still ringing? My reason for asking is that I missed one of the axons in my area last set, and if I miss it again, won't it be removed/de-activated?

I personally don't expect there to be a next time.
Melissa has made contact with what she believes is here crew and
established, through their telephone numbers, secure communications.
They have been told that they must archive these transmissions.
I assume that means that they should record them and in turn give them
to us. Some of the "crew members" are getting very wrapped up in
the idea of not disapointing Melissa and keeping quiet.
We will probably be getting further info/recordings from them as long
as they remember that it isn't Melissa's or Sleeping P's but Dana's side
that we are on.

I find it kind of hard to believe that more "officers" won't be recruited. We've all worked hard to get to this point, unlocking axons and what not, and it wouldn't be fair for only a handful of us to be involved deeper in the story as "officers".
I'm guessing that next Tuesday, more will be recruited.

If you are thinking in terms of "recruitment", who better to do it than
the existing crew members?

Anyway, it says that she'll do it one day per week.
So obviously there's gonna be more than one week.

Yes, yes, everyone wants to be a crew member.
I believe that the remaining .wav files will be released by Melissa if/when
the individual "crew members" fullfill their tasks.
At this point in the story, the Covenant are only 11 light years away from
Earth with nothing standing in their way. How many slipstream crossings
would that take? In game time, they could be there what, any day?
The threat is so close that J2 takes Jan on a 3 minute drive (which could
have been done before) to her mother's place. There cannot be many
more .wavs left.
The "crew" has been told that they will need to "archive" the conversations
that they will be having. Recording something is only neccessary if you
plan on playing it back as well.
And if there are a large number of .wavs left? On the low end of the
scale, one set of axons had 27 groupings. The high, 36. That's an average
of 31-32. How many crew members are supposed to be on the
Apocolypso? 30-40?
If the "crew" will be receiving .wav files we might still need 20-30 more
members. Heck, if the PMs follow their own story we still need that many.
The only question is "how will it happen"?

Respectfully disagree. As one who took a call from a live Melissa. I was asked whether Melissa could archive my conversations with her. Not whether I could archive our conversations.
To what end my conversation is being archived, I don't know.
Still, IRL, we're on the side of the players. Dana is a fictional character, and no matter what side we take in game, the only side that really matters OOG is the side of the players: To get this game solved.
Which remember, the PMs want that to happen. (Just on their timeline.)

but at the same time, if as players we are impersonating in-game characters (crew), that's a role that needs to be played in order to further the game... if the next stage requires a certain number of 'real' crew, then if everyone breaks their promises and shares secrets, the game won't advance, and the PM's would probably be as upset with the players as the non-crew are about being told secrets they shouldn't be told...
follow your instructions... if you're told to keep something secret, keep it secret. as a player, I know you're a 'spy' on the inside, so I won't try to make you compromise that insider position... you're in, do your best to find out what you can until you can reveal everything... until then, don't break the role you're playing...

I agree, but when this is all over--whenever that is--you have to tell us everything!
