I apologize in advance for the rant; however, I have made sure to post it here.

So, a post by one "elizibar" has been the spark that ignited this rant. I will not promote the continuation of said post by quoting it here. For those that are interested in seeing why I am ranting, it can be found on the top of page 531 of the main thread.

As someone who had a brother (I say had, because he unfortunately passed away 3 years ago) I find it entirely revolting when fans of a fictional work will suggest incest between siblings. In my experience, the offenders tend to be only children, and most likely do not understand the difference between sibling affection and being in a relationship. It is appalling to me when it is suggested in fictional works, sure. I understand that people are allowed to have their own opinions about characters/situations in literature, games, movies, comics, etc; however, when you're referring to characters that are ACTUAL BROTHERS outside of the fictional universe, you've taken it a step too far.

I am disgusted by the fact that someone would even suggest such a notion, never mind the fact that it goes against everything we know in game. Imagine how you would feel in that situation, if you were looking up what your fans thought of the latest video (as we know they peruse this forum) and saw THAT. I would personally feel revolted and probably a little turned off from my fanbase at that point.

Considering what happened with Jessa's thoughts about her weight caused by careless commenters, you'd think that people would be more considerate. I think the best course of action is to edit the posts to get rid of that inflammatory comment before the creators see it.

TL;DR Elizibar, I hope that The Rake takes you to Slendy's house of horrors.

Eh, I'm pretty squicked by that kind of stuff too, being somebody who has a sister, but on the Internet it's unavoidable. It was very OOT, anyway.

On a lighter and mostly unrelated note, Jeff in that one gamejack vid makes for a very liekable mudkip (0:22).

I have both brothers and sisters and I wasn't offended or disgusted in any way. It was just a joke and I laughed. I guess it's different for everybody though, I'm just saying maybe be a bit lighter on elizibar. I really don't think any harm was meant.

I agree- it was in poor taste, i didn't laugh, but I don't think we should wish harm upon someone. I've made more then one bad joke myself.

Eh, I've got a sister and I wasn't too worried about it. Then again, I'm not offended by much. That said, it was a little off-color, and if I saw something like that with me in it, I'd probably be creeped out. I think we do just need to keep in mind, we're not talking about fictional characters here; they've put a lot of themselves into these videos. Just treat them with a bit of respect; they've done enough to deserve it.
