Not quite karaoke, but a sing-along. That's an old movie-theater tradition, where a musical short was played before the feature and the entire audience "followed the bouncing ball" and sang along as the lyrics to a popular song were projected on-screen.

The sing-along implies something that's being done for a large audience, not a single person or a small group. More importantly for us rabbits Hybrids, it implies group participation. More specifically, it implies participation by a large group of strangers, united only by a common interest in their entertainments, working together on a project.

I think the Mad Videomaker knows the boys can't see the clips but that we can. And he's taunting us.

The sing-along also implies a sort of cheeriness. The songs chosen are happy ones, things that are supposed to make the audience feel good in coming together and belting out a collective tune. Framing it as a sing-along and then showing us...what he showed us is both a nice use of irony and also a taunt toward us, also demonstrated by the "wait for it" bit at the beginning.

OOG, but the only traditional movie sing-along I've ever been part of was at the Alabama Theater in Birmingham, where they do a series of Christmas movies every December. Every movie opens with organ music, sing-alongs, and old cartoons. If the actress playing Damsel really is from B'ham, it's almost certain she's been to a couple of those--it's kind of a big deal among the kind of people who send their kids to Ivies.

 		...Well, I will never sleep again. And I don't mean that in a scared way, I'm not scared at all, but I missed so much, man. If I'd stayed up just another hour or so I'd have been here!

But in any case I squee'd. Not literally but I might as well have. Damsel! Sparky! Jessie cameo! Alex, although he might as well be dead (sob)!

Now here's the first thing that came to me- and sorry I keep stressing HOL here, it might be because I was typing passages from it for a hour for you guys last night.

The font used in the video is Courier. That's the font the main character, Johnny, uses in House of Leaves. If I think about it, Johnny is a lot like all of our main characters:
    * Had an insane mom (possibly Evan, considering the HABIT thing)
    * Lives in a studio and works in a tattoo parlor- aka, artistic (Damsel, apparently Vince)
    * Spurred on by his romantic relationship(s) (Jeff)
    * Had an overall really traumatic childhood (Everyone)
    * Slowly snaps throughout the book (again, Everyone)
    * Goes on a road trip at the end to get away and ends up going to his childhood home (Jeff, although it was his school)
    * And the whole Minotaur thing is pretty Slendy-like.


Thoughts?

EDIT: Rewatching- that's totally Damsel's beanie he's holding at 0:57. It's definitely a guy holding it, a thin one at that. That mean they saved her, but something happened to Alex after? Or Evan got put away with Damsel because they thought he did something to Alex?

 		Man you guys this is crazy.
I've been getting the taunting vibe since the very beginning, when slendy was just standing in the doorway bobbing his head. It of course continued with the LoAW postcard; one of the tweeting entities seems to be kind of haughty (sort of even taunting the other one). So here we are being taunted again in the new video. I'm not saying that all of those things are the same entity, but I am saying that the taunting (not teasing mind you, teasing is usually harmless, the difference between teasing and taunting being mostly connotation) thing has been going on a while and has been directed to multiple parties.
i super hope that alex and jessa are still alive.
the parts with evan and damsel being in a similar place made me think that their current selves were mirroring their past selves, like, if damsels name was the crossed out name, both of them (even past selves or whatever the heck theory is true) would have been in a mental facility, and here is a video depicting soemthing similar to that? or i guess maybe they could have been in a more recent mental facility?
the underwater dwoning scene is hella scary ._____.'' cinematically it is hardcore too, it just looks really neat. but still is suspenseful and implicative and so i must dislike it.
sing along really means more than has been mentioned IMO. we've been singing along the whole time, and we've been rabbits the whole time too.perhaps we were unrecognized before, but no longer? i mean, people have said those things already, but it isn;t merely an arbitrary term.
also, we already knew jeff was blinded by his lost, why repeat it or tell us now? :/
the baghead looked like evan to me, especially because clips with evan in it surrounded them.
have no idea if this is relevant, but taunting always seemed to me like either someone extremely malicious or a child would do. sing alongs remind me of silent movies but also of kids, a lot of shows for young children have sing alongs or soemthing very similar.
i always thought the ball was a rabbit?

I still don't want to say Alex is dead (though it seems like he is). I took "His loss (cue shot of him with Jessa) blinds him (cue shot of Alex) as a "Alex is going to die because you're blind to his problems because your girlfriend is missing".
Because seriously, Jeff has been acting like the worst brother ever (though with reason) if he didn't realize anything was wrong with Alex.

Yeah. How do you not notice something like that if you live in the same house? At least, Jeff should've noticed the huge cuts on Alex's arms

 		Hey guys, have we though about the fact that Alex's brother isn't really him, but instead a replacement. That's why whatever is attacking him, is attacking him. And his brother is blind to the fact?

It would explain the Slender distortion in the second to last video.

It might also explain that shot of Alex with tape over his mouth in Jeff- a metaphor for him being some sort of pod-person. Or at least, under slender/rake/habit control. Which is the same thing we saw on Evan in that Ustream..
