The number besides the RSOO01 at STIES is 0, so i guess the file is actually blank. But why Mysterio upload a blank file? That will not help Josh understand the situation at all, so I go with two possibilities: a error made by the PMs when upload or that the file is a placeholder for Josh's father, as Kosmopol said.
About the numbers at the photos, could them numbers at the end of the identification field be the age of the person? If so, and if Josh's father are one of those, then he would be like...what 40's at 1979?

OK, here for reference and for google (hehe) I made a table of all information we could get right now:

Code:
File-Nr.        Image-ID        Identification        Duty Assignment        Expiration        Note
rsoa01          07-CES-8RB      58-ORPH-42            Technician             RW-536-RD         Trogl
rsoa02          23-MHC-2BR      58-ORPH-47            Technician             RW-046-BM         ---
rsof01          42-ELL-4LA      58-ORPH-49            Research               RW-827-SM         ---
rsof02          41-T0L-6OP      58-ORPH-45            Research               RW-233-DK         ---
rsoa01          empty           empty                 empty                  empty             ---

Expiration dates?

Just wondering if the text in the box marked expiration means anything, I've checked with some acronyms and got a few results.

All passes have RW on them first, Could mean Reconnaissance Wing or Research Wing. This could refer to the section or department that the men all work for.

No clue about the three numbers

The last two letters could refer to an area of specialisation or a specific job (or nothing at all Wink )

DK=Disbursing Clerk, a admin function (Duty assignment on pass is research)
SM=Service manager, Sargent Major, Study Manager(Duty assignment on pass is research)
BM=Base Movement, Building Manager (Duty assignment on pass is technician)
RD=Research and Development (Duty assignment on pass is technician)

That said there's probably a much smarter explanation of the numbers and letters out there.

Googled TROGL and found these two interesting links and am still looking --

http://wordinfo.info/units/view/2189/ip:8/il:T This one has to do with being a cave dweller -- could this have to do with the newspaper puzzle and going underground?

http://www.trogl.com/ It works! ???

I like this one troglocole, troglocolous
Living in subterranean caves or passages; also, cavernicole, cavernicolous

I keep saying my version of the newspaper printout is we live underground.yada yada..

But unless there is a addition to the papers it means nothing.. then again it could be the crazy talking

trogl.com has creation date of 2009 but expires dec 2010 so dunno

Kosmopol,

Thanks for resume that up, It's kind hard try to do that by memory, just one thing, I believe the code at the RSOF02 is 41-T0L-6OP and not 41-TOL-60P.

Dust King,

I was using this website http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com to check acronyms and for me RW could be something like Retirement Week. About the others I have no clue.

Wow. Great stuff!'

Is it possible that TROGL is referring to Troglodyte?

So maybe RSOA01 is a computer hacking gnoll who lives in a cave with satellite hook up.

I don't know if anyone saw my post in the frequent intermissions thread - which kinda has me feeling like a demented conspiracy theorist:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=753725#753725

I have been thinking about these connections to Jamaica and now with this trogl/cave dwelling stuff here's more:
Jamaica is full of caves and has the Jamaican Caves Organisation.
http://www.jamaicancaves.org/

There is a book called 'Jamaica Underground' with detailed info.
http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=wmfKE0hSdowC&lpg=PP1&ots=hO30j84U_5&dq=jamaica%20underground&pg=PP1#v=onepage&q&f=false
On page 66 it talks about troglobites.

Sorry if this is way off base, but it keeps nagging at me.

I don't know, why, but ORPH sounds for me as Orpheus.

Three dots on the truck

I was looking at the photos of the truck on the set at Lillian and the position of the three dots on the side of the truck does not coincide with the ones at the STIES photos. At the STIES we have Research and Technician so what are the job of those at the Lillian (mostly, of course, are soldiers, but I don't think that a soldier would carry a clearence authorization like those).

@Rocket Mountaineer
Actually I don't know, perhaps you are on something, but perhaps this is just selective perception thing or synchronism. Don't give up the thing, perhaps we are missing something.

@NOC14672
I still think, those are the same dots as on the trucks. The STIES dots are just stamps, and they are always unaccuratelly stamped. So we don't know, perhaps it's a military research, that's why there is a Grade field on the passes. But since they are technician and researchers, they just don't have military grad. Well, perhaps Smile

@Melodyman
Yes, I still cannot see, whether it's different or just mistyped there...
