Marble Hornets discussion NYU

So a friend of mine goes to NYU and is part of the film program. She mentioned Marble Hornets to her professor, and after the professor got hooked, the professor decided to bring it up as a topic of discussion and learning tool. Once it happens, she's going to tell me what was discussed. If anyone is interested, I'll try to post what I can up here. I thought everyone would find it interesting and I also hope the creators read this post, just so they can see how far their work has stretched.

You should link this professor the concept of MIT's Open Courseware Smile Would love to see anything that comes out of the class.

Assuming you aren't trolling, that's pretty nuts. Film students being used as exemplary material in a film course? They've gotta love that, especially at a place like NYU. Guessing it's a class in New Media or something? In any case, even more props to Troy and Joseph if that's true.

That's fine, take your time! I only ever really come on every couple of days, nowadays. I haven't had the time to keep up with everyone's chatter about the newest series!

Sorry for the delay. i spoke with my friend. unfortunately, not much was discussed. The professor was speaking about how film and internet have collided. Basically, that film has always been a form of storytelling, and how the internet is now used in many different ways to tell stories through film. Marble Hornets was referenced, the professor was saying how it is one of the best examples he could find to describe this, how not only do the people that are friends of the creators see, but how with the use of the internet, the series has spread and now has fans all over the US.

Unfortunately not much else was discussed about it but apparently soe of the students were intrigued and have watched it now.
