<----- Check it out! I'm a "?...!" Cool!
Anyway, thanks for your kind words! Of course I will update if the SP wants to respond. Again, this may be so left field that the PMs may just ignore it (I would ) But if they've got the gumption to run with the idea, it would be cool, I think. And if it turns into an axon-like grind, I take full responsibility. But I think it would be a VERY cool plot twist, at the very least.
But thanks especially, to dragonrider for saying it's the kind of poetic stuff the SP would love... I was hoping for that effect!

edit: Oh man, I was only "?...!" for a little bit... now I'm entrenched. Oh well..

That's why I think it's even more important for more people than just you to say the same thing. For people to band together under the banner you're waving. "Tap our chatters, spy on the crew, report to the SP what you learn." All for the betterment of the game.

look at it this way, we're not 'competing armies', we're 2 different task forces united under the same goal, they're going to work on the "Melissa problem' and we'll be handling the "sleeping princess situation"
now this will require memo's, and meetings, and proactive team initiative, DM, fast-track an action item on that... uh... paradigm
(sorry, i work in an office, i hear that crap all day )
i'm still of the mind that we need to unite the two together.... i think the Melissa team REALLY has to say that they've gathered intel and warn her about the Flea, try to convince her that he's the real threat and not the SP

Don't sit on the side lines. Take initiative. Get involved. It's the only way to ensure that you get a response from the PMs and/or SP.
Just think, if 10-20 people all sent a similar message to SP, then the PMs would be unable to ignore it. Because they would see the theme repeatedly.
Hmm... I'm confused... which side do YOU want to be on Mazian?
Just kiddin... but yeah, I don't want to PRESSURE the PMs into this, but it would be cool.. I would say, figure out the rank you want, and if you have a good, (honest, not just "I WANNA BE YOUR COMMANDER!!! WOOT!") reason for it, then send it to the SP... we'll see what comes of it.

for the SP, we need ranks like "valiant knight" and "loyal paladin"

Hey DM, that is the coolest idea I've seen yet! And I totally agree with you and Coffee... knights vs. hi-tech, it'd be just like Star Wars!!
I'm gonna hafta whip something up and send it to the SP too, as soon as I get the chance (at work right now ).
Awesome idea!
EDIT: Holy axon, I'm "Decorated" now? Looks like I've been spending WAY too much time here. LOL!

Possible Slogans:
*Knight takes Queen.
*The Princess isn't sleeping anymore. Are YOU?
*I've got an iron for a hand, and I'm proud of it!
Man, this is fun!!!

like i said above about the "competition", we're really just 2 teams working for the same thing
thebruce said it himself in this thread:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6672&start=15
the melissa team is composed of SPIES pretending to be Mel's crew... the last thing we want is for the Queen and Princess to get into an all-out brawl... i can only imagine the effects that would have
(with a name like CoffeeJedi, i guess i have to be a knight, huh?)
(daboking, you should get a pic of strong bad dressed as "the bee, like... from nature" from Halloween 2002)

CoffeeJedi, I'm only going to really take this as far as the PMs want to let out the rope. It's just a suggestion for a cool plot twist, but it's TOTALLY up to the PMs, and I'll be just as happy to be a sideline sitter waiting to see what Mel has her crew do... but I figured why not try for greatness, right? So... can I count you in as a honor knight? Or maybe you would prefer something less "notable." You could be a squiremaster, if you prefer, of course...

Hey, sign me up. After Melissa decidedly ignored Boston for most of the axon hunting, I'm happy to just get more involved than I have been.
Though a point: sometimes the greatest villains are ones we can sympathize with--even if the Queen or the Princess ends up being a "bad guy", I think that in understanding the motivations of the both parties, they could not really be "evil" (at least, not the way they stand now). We understand that the Queen is lost and lonely, and the Princess is sad enough to develop Perdita's tragic story.
