Because it worked so well for Alex. Erm, Alex Krailie specifically. There need to be some Hispanic or Russian or characters in these series, so we can stop with the overlapping names. I swear if someone named "Noah" pops up in the periphery of EverymanHYBRID I'm gonna pitch a fit.

Anyways, damsel being ALLCAPSMAN wouldn't really make much sense. I think it's more likely that our tweeter edited CYSTW somehow. Possibly Corenthal? I don't even know anymore...

My epileptic tree theory is that Corenthal also worked on this iteration of Evan and Damsel while they were in the mental hospital. Whilst there, he managed to implant a series of subconscious cues which he could then trigger to do things like the hacking and the tweeting. It would not surprise me if Damsel herself had edited her site, but following the commands of Corenthal.

I should reiterate that this idea doesn't really make sense and is likely a bit too suspense thriller-esque for a cosmic horror story, but I still like it.

...This brings up another theory.. maybe Evan, Vince, etcetera -aren't- reincarnations/whatevers of the past ones. Maybe the Good Doctor found people with the same names (again, Evan, Vince, etcetera) and just.. did whatever it is he does.

 		maybe Damsel has been in an asylum since she was a young child and was orphaned by a fire and the whole of the story since then has been a shared mass hysteria episode of collective dementia and hallucinations. step right up for the rollercoaster ride of your life kiddies.

That does seem like a reasonable idea to me. I've always been of the opinion that Corenthal is more important to our plot than just providing those reports. I'd be interesting in them delving more into what exactly happened to them, and Corenthal's relationship with all this.

 		I just saw something interesting on Alex's youtube channel. Dunno if the user called inferno232 posts in here but they've pointed out that the carpet in Alex's room matches the carpet where the hand is being dragged under the bed. Could that be Alex's hand?

I still have some affection for the multiple universes theory. It works decently well with some of the other oddness we've seen, and the way it intersects with the peculiar imagery creates a feeling that I rather like. On the other hand, it might just be too crazy to be true.

Hrm, do you know which of the morse code videos that the hand dragging is in? I could go check it now and compare it to the one with Alex tending to his wounds.

It's hard to say at this point. My first inclination is to say SlenderProxy, but we may be looking at an independent individual. Regardless, he seems to be doing things to mess up little kids, which I suppose puts him in the bad column regardless.

The hands look similar enough. I can't tell if they're identical, since the primary way of doing is looking at the fingernails, and the hand in .- does not have its nails visible. But, with what evidence we have, I'm willing to say that's Alex being dragged away.

I don't think that commenter is correct. The carpet in the hidden vids is grey, and the carpet in Alex's room looked beige or tan. Plus, I've said it before, the carpet in the hidden vids just isn't nice enough to be in the upstairs bedrooms. It's an industrial carpet, pretty cheap, much more suited to a basement.
