As cool as it would be for this to be IG, hasn't it always been a kind of rule that no PM would initiate contact with any player outside of pre-approved channels? We know that several people gave mailing addresses to the PMs and any letters would be fair game I would say. Creeping your players accounts and digging up personal cell numbers is waaaaaaay outside the scope. Can you imagine if a player had a real life stalker, or violent ex or whatever and the ARG was a nice fictional escape from their terrible reality when all of a sudden strange calls start coming in? Of course most of us are not in that situation and would like to think that it would be super cool to get a call like this but realistically it is just not good to do or even start suggesting this kind of thing is acceptable for other PMs to jump on. Boundaries and stuff, for us and for them.

Plugged the noise into Audacity and started messing with it.

The weird noise in the beginning, with speed slowed down vaguely sounds like someone saying "Leave me alone".

The rest sounds like...Keyboard keys clacking.

I first thought the voice at the end was Evan, but here it sounds different. And I hear him saying

"I told you Irony is fake, hit me with a craw."

Then some giggling...

Verdict? OOG and someone trying to prank call you.

I still like mine better. "Oh the irony, killing someone with a cross"...... mostly cause it amuses me. =D

With every hour I'm thinking more and more that this is just a coincidence. It'd be a pretty big leap of faith for them to send this out without any way of confirming it was them, especially due to the creep out factor if it wasn't them.


Also, what time did these phone calls occur? All I remember was Harley talking about it around 5-6am, possibly a little earlier, which would imply that it happened in the middle of the night.

@Adah & arcanadei: Harley said that she may have given her number when she gave her address for the wristbands. So, if she did willingly give them her number, I wouldn't say it's not fair game.

I want to believe it's IG. Just seems like a lot of coincidences to not be. And I don't think it's unsubstantial. There might be something to be deciphered within the message. Afterall there is speaking at points.

This may have already been mentioned, but how would the EMH crew get a hold of someones phone number? Unless they were to do some kind of white pages lookup based on the info we gave them for the wristband mailout. But... nah. I'm leaning creepy coincidence. But still creepy.
