technically SlenderMan isn't copyrighted... until some film company tries to copyright him for their movie.

False. All work is copyrighted as soon as the creator makes it. Technically, Marble Hornets is copyrighted.
Though everyone treats Slendy as though he were public domain, so legal problems probably won't ensue from anything we do.

Plus, I'm not making any money or anything. Pretty sure I'm not infringing on any laws. If I am, I can come clean and ask for the discs back, if it really is something illegal.

You know that means that Marble Hornets still doesn't own Slender Man. Slender Man isn't their creation after all. It was some SA member that technically owns Slender Man. I am not quite sure who though. It has been a while since I was at the Slendy-Genesis thread.

Though you are right in saying that all MH unique stuff is theirs.

Victor Surge was the original creator.

Yes, slender man isn't a marble hornets creation. However, Troy and Joseph did create Marble Hornets and thus should be consulted before copies of certain entries are made onto DVD.

Well, it's debatable if it's really fair use or not.

However, i kinda doubt they'll take them to court over it. I mean, he's just trying to drum up more interesting in the series.

Too lazy to log in, but, figured I'd update this.

Went great, I noticed the dude's looking over his shoulder and seems a bit more sleepy than usual. Left Regards in the same place as last time, and he grabbed it almost too quickly.

We have a new fan of the series, albeit one that's not getting the whole story yet.

Slender Man is public domain. Slender Man is also making nobody money, with the exception of the odd 20 dollars for Ron Browz. Therefore, unless you're doing this for profit, you're absolutely fine by intellectual property laws, I would imagine.

It sounds like you're getting some nice results.

I've been leaving CDs full of Slender Man pictures around, but nothing with the videos.

I had the idea of xeroxing a bunch of "Be on the look out for this man" posters that I had found somewhere, but it's been raining where I live :/ (hell, it even snowed earlier today...)
