Room 12 (don't hurt yourself)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

EDIT: this one has changed too, and is much easier now.

Check the source, and see these hints:
<!--GIF me my picture back-->
<!--http://www.deathball.net/temp/dragon.zip-->

The Dragon.zip is a WMV of a cool optical illusion that's absoultely pointless. The GIF clue is much more important -- load http://deathball.net/notpron/blame/realscreen12.jpg then try realscreen12.gif to see an animated GIF of the difference.

What moved? remote/control.

Room 13
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Combination of Luck and intuition.

Observation #1: it's #13.
Observation #2: hint <!-- he's been a bad boy --> in HTML
Observation #3: page title: lucy not in the sky.

Observation #4-9: parts of the image that are mapped to the javascript appear photoshopped. The JPEG distortion makes it almost impossible to get an accuate read, though. I got the letters: E V I

With a little help from the login prompt and #2 above, I guessed "Devil". But the password? #3 - not in the sky. Hmm, where's the devil from?

id devil
pw hell

Sometimes, you just make your own luck.

Room 14: No shame in spoiling -- it's not fair for anyone with a US keyboard.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

This one suckéd, spoiled it for myself.

Seen this one before? What's that you're feeling?

deja vu? HELL NO!

try déjà vu.

GAAAH. NEXT!

Room 15:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Okay, okay, so I got a hint on this one too.

Look at the title: Hit the Keys
look at the URL: board.htm

Something about the keyboard.

In the Source:
[1] 4 3 [2] 2 [1] 5
in
[1] 10 3 [2] 1 [3] 3 [1] 3-->

I figured it spelled something, <x> in <y>
looked at the 4-3, then I saw it.
the first line of the keyboard: 4-3 = RE re...what?
second line of the keyboard: 2 = RES ... res?
first line of the keyboard: 5 = T.... REST ah-HA!

Forget the rest of the puzzle, Rest in PEACE!! Muahahah

id: rest
pw: peace

Room 16: THE END (or is it?)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Even with two pages of spoilers, I couldn't quite figure this one out. I understood the premise, I got the first part, but there was just some leap of logic I wasn't getting.

Observation #1: There are pictures of all the previous puzzles
Observation #2: There numbers on these pictures, from 0-6
Observation #3: Those puzzles with 0's had no IDs or passwords.
Observation #4: Puzzles with numbers had login IDs and passwords (duh)
Observation #5: The page name is weird: mznvh.html
Observation #6/7: There's more weirdness in the source:
<!-- # = vziob/hlnv/svok -->
<!-- invert -->
First, I wrote out all the login IDs. The numbers seem to correspond to letters in them (there are no numbers greater then the size of the ID). So I get the following:
AOLNM FREDER

hmm. Some of this makes sense, some if it is garbage. Some pictures have the # next to them -- time to invoke the hint above:

So we have:
# ## #
AOLNM FRDER

So those letters were scrambled somehow, but how?

Another board hit me with the second cluestick: #7, above. Invert. How do you invert letters? Thankfully, the cluestick came back for seconds. A=Z, B=Y, C=X ... M=N.

Doing a little calculation, we have the result:

zoom murder

I don't know what it means, and frankly, after all this I don't care. It works.

id: zoom
pw: murder

Room 17: The Finale (or is it?)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

On the last image, punch up the contrast and brightness. You'll get the following message:

You deserve a prize, even looking
for hints on the end screen!

believe me, it's over now!
Hurray for you!
no, just kidding, change the
name of the htm to the object you
see here to advance

Try ufo.htm and egg.htm for fun, but nothing there.

hmm....spotlight, headlight, nightlight all seem to be negative.

What about a lamp? hehehe....money!

Time to go home -- maybe there'll be more fun later!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Unless you didn't get it by now, there's a...

ROOM 18!! Woo.

Have fun with the hint in the html, but be careful! There's some NSFW stuff in there!

I'll play with it some more at home, where it's safe.

Have fun!

On 19...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Above the hand are the letters: VOGBJS

There is something below the hand, but I can't make out what it says.

Good job on the 18 solve -- I have no ear for music, so that would have been a PITA. Since you've been so helpful, I'll provide a bit more:

A little help on 19:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Playing with the contrast shows the letters "vogjbs" on the top of the hand.

Photoshop's excellent "Replace Color" brings out the bottom text: "sjeemf"

hmm...and what does the title bar say? "he moved it into the right direction".

Sounds like a job for ... ROT-X!! Rot-25 of the text gives the answer:

unfair/riddle

click on the middle finger to move on.

Room 20:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

This one is the king of useless information. The important thing to recognize is that some of the fonts are Windows Wingdings.

Just take those wingdings, plug them into the character map, and paste it into notepad. You'll get the next ID and PW.

really/unfair

Room 21 (incomplete)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Observations: We have Alpha, with a box under it, Omega 1 and Omega 2. These are the first and last letters of the greek alphabet. We also have a list of HTML colors, that don't correspond to the colors of their text. Finally, with a bit of playing around with the contrast, there's what appears to be a ticket behind the skull:

Tacher
?Atischen
(d)ublin

The login clue is "the a and the z". I've already tried the obvious: alpha and omega, but that's not right. I have a feeling it has something to do with the ticket, but I can't read the first name well enough to know what it says. Any takers?

On to something:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Note the name of the image... white.jpg
the other colors there also have images (blue.jpg etc)

I don't have much time right now, so I'll work on it more later.

Good catch, ELG!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

After combining each color image, it seems like we're given some kind of map to traverse to get to the ID (omega1) and PW (omega2). I haven't really made much headway -- again, feel free to give it a shot!

rename the image file attached to cluefor21.jpg to see the clue.

solve:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I just worked backwards from each omega to the Alpha, and found I could spell making(O1->alpha) progress (O2->Alpha) --the text is backwards, but it makes sense. I figured that it had to spell *something*, and that's what seemed to be the best fit. And it worked!

Page 22:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

This one's a doozey. I'm not quite sure what to do with it, because it seems to be going offnet. If you go by the wingdings on the bottom and right side of the screen, you get the message:

sm"@"2643598

is it saying to send a message to that number? If so, how? I'll admit, I'm not much for instant messaging/text messaging/sms/etc, so if any guidance here would be appreciated.

Oh, and for something funny...try replacing banana.htm with phone.htm Wink

edit: T-mobile has a german site, and although I know about as much german as I do swahili, I was able to find a way to send an SMS to a german phone via email. Address your email to
0171xxxxxxx AT t-mobile-sms.de and it should be sent.

in this case, use 01712643598 AT t-mobile-sms.de

No response yet--right now it's 6:08pm there according to the world time server.
