Hurray! So that video didn't freak me out too badly at all. I'm glad to see Evan was finally brought in on the situation, and the phone bit has me worried.

I don't know about Jeff and Alex. The two of them are just incredibly...lethargic. I understand Alex's, because of the cuts...but it interests me that they're both under the same roof and experiencing that lethargy and apparent blindness. With the Rake under their roof too.

I do like the theory that something is up with Jeff. The man is not acting in his right mind as of late. I understand he's broken up about Jessa, but...shit. Lives can be in danger, INCLUDING his brother. Needs to wake his ass up.

I figured Evan would come in as a 'take charge, kick ass' kind of person, which is why we told Alex in messages that he should get Evan because we KNEW he would.

The only clues I've got off this video are...the phone, obviously. I also hear a lot of noises at various points in the video, not just after five minutes. Right when Alex opens his front door for example and Evan starts trying to come in. Sounds like a hiss or speaking or something back in the house proper.

EDIT: Derp. Sounds like his parents. Also...I hear Sparky! Where is pretty puppy? *Sadface*

Hrm. On relistening to the Rake noises at MAX volume, it is talking at first. It quickly melts into the louds noises, but I think that's talking too.

It sounds like it says 'I am' just before the pitch and volume start rising too high for me to discern what it's saying. I'll mess around with the audio and see if I can get anything.

I liked this video. I'm pretty okay with a few funny things after all this scary/depressing stuff. But I am kind of worried about Vince. Jeff says they're all okay, though, and I guess I believe him.

Not sure if this has been spotted, but the song playing the background when they're talking to Jeff after waking him is "The Shankill Butchers" by The Decemberists. It's a song about a group of mass murderers in my hometown, Belfast, in the 1970s. I should check out the lyrics if I were you, they could easily be very relevant.

Also after looking at the "security" footage from the video, the first looks like its from something in the top corner, then in the second it looks like its coming from the crawlspace.

The 'securtiy camera' type shots we've all been debating about could be related to the 'stream of consciousness'/'thought'/'sight' video clips? I think it is very likely. i like the rake-o-vision theory too though, or even maybe slendy to show that ol' slenders is still around.
And I am hoping the hints they're dropping about the dreams/hallucinations becoming more important really happens, it was a good plot device for them to use.

I'm not an iPhone owner (Droid2, maaaan) but wouldn't the iPhone show caller id on the display as it's ringing?

Like if you were to say, call an iPhone, and then look at its screen (or flippin' Vanna White display its screen to your younger brother coughcough) wouldn't it show your number on the display in rather large text?
