trainwagon

fish me if you can, but.........didnt found something here via search

bored from id cards and excessive thinking about the
"Golden Ratio" (hello multipsychoapopheniosis) i just
watched the super8 teaser again........

when the train door gets "hit" from inside the wagon,
there is something green behind the holes left by the
popping rivets

and it doesnt look like a rendering issue/mistake

its cgi rendered (brightness) into the corners of the rivet holes

i just dont get it if its some kind of light or green material pushing physically so hard against the wagon door, its pushing into the holes

Green Stuff
Green Stuff

Wouldnt that just be the metal bending and changing colors?

Also if it was "Light" as you think, then we only have one clue pointing to the light....Remember the news paper articles about light? The garden club has an artifial lightbulb to fit into a cupboards? How about the new Traffic light instaled? And how about the Coelacanth being a deep sea fish, not being exposed to a lot of light? But then again, if the creature needs light, then why would they go underground? Maybe because they can always have light down there to keep it away?

Could just be the original paint color. Since the old weathered rivets popped out. This exposed the unweathered original color of the railroad car...

I've looked over again at the trailer (at Super 8's movie site) and the odd images interspersed throughout seem to me much more pronounced than when I first saw the trailer at the theater, and later when it was released.

As far as there being an interior light coming from the USAF compartment, gramma, you make an interesting case, and you could very well be correct, but one other thing that I noticed in the trailer right before the power pole crashes on the compartment there seems to be a light source coming from above, both before the power pole hits, and after it hits the car. Where's the light coming from, and is that light what we see reflected in the images you've highlighted?

I don't know the answers, but perhaps someone has a theory. Confused

Someone has the old (I don't know if changes were made, but I'll call it old) trailer so we can compare and look for changes.
For me the green light is just the original color of the metal, the metal without rust and dirt (but what I know about trainwagons and rust/dirt?), I like the parallel with the artificial lightbulb as asda has done.
About the light coming from above, seems to be the moon light, but it's too bright for me to be just that, and seems to be concentrate over the wagon.

And this is just another brilliant post with nothing helpful in it. Laughing

i took the pictures from the day one teaser release in glorious hd

i compared it to actually downloads - there is no difference

i dont specially said it is a light - as i said it could be also something green physically

please take a look again on the trailer frame by frame

you can see very clearly that some holes are first black after the rivets popped and the green lights/objects are showing up with more and more
hits against the door

Gramma....Off Topic

My neighbors are back home in Germany visiting their new grand baby. She's abut 1 years old. But theyhave a house close to Frankfurt. I was just curious, since I can't reach Manfred and Monica, is it snowing there?

Also, I don't think it's green light. But since you're on the topic of the movie trailer. Every time the sqiggle come out on the trailer it is usually connected to some small clue, the license plate on the truck, the rail tie with the numbers, the over turned train car with Bonham on it. Am I the only one who's noticed this? Or is this a fish?

What software are you guys using to download the trailer and to get a frame-by-frame capture.

I know this reveals my 'puter backwardness, but if you've looked at any of my posts before, you've seen me admit it.

thanks;

XL

I noticed these squiggles or sound waves or whatever they are. Have you ever tried to freeze the trailer right on a squiggle? I haven't been able to capture it. I thought it might be some kind of watermark for video. I'll check it out again.

Looking at the object in the car, they look a lot like the itmes on the ground where the numbered rail tie shows up. At least from what I can make out of the visible items.

And I know the phone work but I don't hae their phone number to call Wink And I have never been smart enough to get their number. I guess that makes me a real dumkof Confused

software codecs hi xeno

download http://www.codecguide.com/features_mega.htm

select "lots of stuff" in the install menu

install the included media player classic

normally you dont have to check or uncheck any
of the boxes or selections the install process brings up

download the lite version, cause the mega pack
already includes the media player classic
http://www.free-codecs.com/quicktime_alternative_download.htm

go to the super8 movie site > watch at appletrailes > download in glorious 1080p HD

wenn the downloadmanager from the quicktime alternative asks you regarding rename to .hdmov DO IT Very Happy

open the glorious hd trailer of super8 with the mediaplayer classic

pause > use "right_arrow" on your keyboard and watch it frame by frame

if you want to capture the frames > press Alt + i > have fun

*edit*

http://picasaweb.google.com/gramma782/Wagon#

uploaded the middle wagon crash frames in a more reasonable way Wink
