Also, Off the Off topic, but today i heard the person who should voiceact for the rake. it was at work, of course.

We have this one older gentleman who'se come in before. He's had a tracheotomy.. Doesn't talk much (hah). But when he has to, he uses one of those little pen-shaped-ish things that you hold to your throat and it makes you sound like a talking kazoo. (Okay, i may be horribly wrong about the shape. I try not to look so i don't just stare. I'm bad about stuff like that).

Today, he didn't have it. and he had a complicated problem. So.. I guess he was... I don't know. I couldn't look. He might have been plugging is trach-hole with his finger ? or pressing against what's left of his voicebox?


all I know, is it sounded terrible. It sounded rotten, wet, wrong, disturbing. The sound of a corpse that's been under water for a week talking. Nice old guy, had some good interactions with him before, never complained...

But i wanted him to stop talking after the first word. I couldn't even look at his face. And i never, ever, want to hear him talk like that again.

It just sounds so freaky. Just thinking about how it must have sounded makes me shudder a bit, which I feel a bit bad for because he seems like a nice old guy. But the VOICE...

And I didn't even hear it.
