You don't need to crossfade at all to loop static. It'll still sound fine because the pattern is so chaotic. You'd never notice where the cut is.

And that volume change is anything but subtle. It's instantaneous. And I heard it even before I looked at the waveform. A crossfade would be much more gradual.

So, did anyone notice the latest post by Flynn Lives on Facebook, kinda seems to suggest the video again too:

I think 42E/FL are more obvious with the start of a new puzzle, i.e the perler beads pointing to Arcade Aid and then bone-S-level...

 		I got the Faceoff & Guard pins a few days to a week ago, and a poster in the mail today. Didn't realize there was still a lot going on, so I have to get caught up again!

I believe they mentioned the video because with entering the HF code you receive the FL badge. I analyzed the video and I'm 100% positive that NOTHING is HIDDEN within the video or in the audio of the video. If the video leads to anything it will be from the FOOTAGE itself, and nothing to do with the "head switch" effect or the audio static. If I'm wrong I will post a video of me eating my Arcade Aid poster Shocked Silly

The badge appeared the day after the puzzles were solved. I recall entering the codes that night and then checking my FL account, but there wasn't a badge. I rechecked the next day and I had the "Memory Capture" badge. So, recheck your FL account, it should be there.

It looks like they either overlooked the badge or added the badge after the fact because folks were accustomed to getting a badge and relied on it as confirmation that the puzzle was solved.
