I'm going to try my best to talk her tonight about getting someone in her family to get that axon if it doesn't go hot today.

posted here to keep stuff in one place

New maps from me based on some GPS tweaking.
1 new PDF map zoomed in a bit more and 1 very large aerial of the same area.

Give me 15 minues and these will be on my website too (that needs an update anyway)

If it is the south side of Old Compton St then this
http://www.streetsensation.co.uk/soho/oc1_sout.htm
says it could be Maoz Falafel (yum) or Comptons of Soho (Mainly gay clientele)

richchestmat: How did you get that location?

In other news - Fi & I will be in Soho on Saturday (assuming the Axon isn't enhottenated or moved before then)

We will be meeting at 5pm at the Costas on Shaftesbury Avenue (NOT the one on the corner of Compton & Dean. It's just across from the bank of 6 phones outside the Les Mis theatre.

Hope to see as many people as possible there, [plead]including bcriswell with your GPS locater!! [/plead]

Cound a moderator put up a London regional thread?

done - although only one axon, MANY hunters, and much frustration - a thread is needed and is granted. Smile - AD

OK, for ease, here's the link to the London Axon Thread.

Please take all London related comments there from now on, simply because it's easiest if everything's in the same place. Thank you for your cooperation.

chaotic_mind made a big deal about South Dakota. I have PM'd him that the cranky_old_man may now be near him. Fingers crossed!

Awww, the deal wasn't that big, was it?

Very Happy

Anyway, yeah I'm gonna try to hit it. I have time, and just happen to be hanging out with my friend with the GPS. I probably can bribe him with lunch to go on another mad fool endevour.

I haven't had time to scout the the axon, so I'll be going in blind. So, keep those fingers crossed.

edit- All went well. Both payphones were easy to find, and both took incoming calls. One was broken, unfortunately, but Melissa didn't call that one, fortunately. Hopefully she won't. Looks like I'll have more work come Tuesday. Since no one else seems to be able to grab the Keystone axon, I'll do both that one and the one in Rapid. Anyway, it's good to finally contribute, even in such a small way

Bah, Keystone? If I could actually take time off, I'd visit some family and get the phone, but Keystone is just a little far for them to drive to during the day on a request from me. Maybe the weekend.

Why not one of the two larger cities, or Sturgis? At least Sturgis on 90.

Good luck, chaotic_mind. Now, how bout one for the eastside burbs of Seattle?
