Doesn't the end of the latest trailer kind of elude to Clu wanting to leave the Grid, and enter the land of the users?

Edit: He says, "Out there is a new world, out there is our destiny."

It could be in reference to what I said earlier about them wanting to leave the Grid...but I could be wrong.

Well, yes. But I don't think he was talking about the user world. I think he was talking about the internet. One of the big things the creators of tron legacy have talked about is how this world running on flynn's servers is like an isolated little island. Obviously, the next logical step, potentially for a sequel, is to go out and see whats happening in the rest of the global virtual world.

And there's also: "Sam doesn't belong there". Maybe Flynn was planning into bringing Sam into the Grid some day?

I got a bit confused with that. Somewhere in this latest puzzle, one of the monologues involved Flynn saying that he can't handle the thought of his family being trapped in the grid, and the context of the words seemed to imply that that THEY were trapped inside, and Flynn was outside. Still trying to figure out what that was about. If it was just poor use of words, it was a pretty big mistake to make.

I think what Kevin was talking about there, were the digitized photos and video of his family. He was putting them there for safe keeping, but felt that keeping his memories of Jordan there were somehow 'trapping' her on the grid. My speculation:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Kevin Flynn was trying to either find or 'rebuild' Jordan on the grid; perhaps seeing the video sof her on his computer made him realize that, if he could build a WORLD in there, maybe he could rebuild his love. It's that hubris that led him to devote more and more time to the digital world, that ultimately led to him getting trapped there.. The line about not wanting his family to be on the Grid could simply have been that his world wasn't good enough for them yet.

Has anyone heard of anyone that completed the challenge after the initial mailing went out who received the pins? Once I got my two, my little bro wanted them (of course) and so I got him set up and did it for him, however, he has yet to receive them.

I completed the Challenging Stage on 11/8 and I haven't seen either pins or poster Sad Good luck!

did anyone try...

Did anyone try putting the new images we have of the solar sailer ect, over the video ,...maybe the static on the picture lines up with the static on the video, like a decoder bar. I don''t have a program for doing this, and I know this part is sort of done,...but still, might be worth checking if someone has the time/ability.

Interesting, and far more logical than what I speculated. I hadn't thought of that, and it would definitely be interesting to see what the "internet" would look like. Although it could be just as scary to them as it is to us.

Goatse on the game grid? no thanks.

So does anyone know when the cutoff for the ArcadeAid v.2 swag was? I completed it a little late as I was out of town, and still haven't received anything. This would be the first stuff I didn't get, so I'm kind of bummed. Guess I should be glad for what I've gotten already. Thanks for any info.

I would be willing to trade, but you need to be an unfiction member with contact info if you expect anyone to follow through.

Yeah, but ore specifically, they look like a word repeated over and over....anyone care to help with this cause I suck at it.

Don't some of you wish they had used more of the 'ENCOM secondary characters' in the later stuff of the TL ARG? I really liked being able to 'hack' into ENCOM and read internal e-mails, briefs, especially Hardington's desktop..oh well, I hope as some small consolation they are the beginning of the movie, building up the 'backstory' of ENCOM wing of it.

That was broklynite's find. Each row of 3 is a binary digit, and they're a pattern of 9 digits repeated. So we've got those numbers already.

Proper respect to broklynite for that discovery. So does this mean we're stuck on the home video? Or should I expect a new clue soon?

For those yet to figure it out. The binary on the cover of Digital Gaming leads to Hydecker Design. The plan on the Hydecker site leads to a two of other plans which currently end with a home video of the Flynns.
