Exactly. The concept is obviously pretty much the same, but the mood is different. The mood of EMH is much less grim than how I felt with SM and especially WttA.
And I doubt they'll be killing off Jeff any time soon.

 		So going with the time thingie, and maybe they are the ones who ran into Ryan, could it be future them sending the boxes to themselves in the past? Maybe even the shrine was their own work and the whole thing gives present selves a weird deja vu vibe because of it. They can't directly communicate with their past selves or risk a time paradox explosion of Slendy proportions. Could explain how some of the material got into the boxes without their knowledge.

EDIT: Just got around to reading Rhiannon's texts and something similiar is alluded to in there. Great minds eh?

That's how much I fell behind by. Following this thread is fast turning into a full-time job.

Now while I have read every single one of the preceding 713 pages I don't remember everything that was said, so forgive me if this has been mentioned 500 pages ago. Has anyone noted that given the fascination the series has with purple there is a single line in House of Leaves that is printed in purple in the full-color edition. It's What I'm remembering now and you can find it in chapter XXI. I can't be sure what this means, but I thought it relevant.

This may or may not have been mentioned. It's hard to tell. Smile

But it does fit quite nicely, since purple has been mostly used to mark the caches and the shrine, and those could be used to help the boys remember their past instances/childhoods/incarnations.

Purple tape is the Barbelith of EMH.

And i think we all need therapy.

Also purple was the color of those wristbands we never got..

and the pants of the crawler in the background of the one ustream, iirc.

I really wish I could search through my PDF of House of Leaves. But I found the passage you're talking about. I'm going to have to think about all this purple business...

I think that over my Christmas break I may do some transcribing. I almost starting transcribing during my archive binge, but then my eyes started feeling like burning so I didn't.

It's not just you; this thread is out of control. Luckily the most I've fallen behind is about 40 pages Smile The worst part is that there will be 20 pages of slashfiction, 1 page of pure genius observations, and another 20 pages about Vince's beard so you can't just blithely skip it Dunno
