In fact, in the graphic novel, Tron intervened to stop Clu getting his hands on Flynn. Flynn escaped with his faster-than-anything Lightcycle, but Tron was left behind, apparently in pain, beaten and wounded.


My two cents is that Tron has been captured and rewrote so Clu could use his fighting skills, to create for himself a special assassin of some sort.

 		Funny, I had no idea this thread existed. I have been wondering who rinzler is, and why the lack of face being shown. I think it would be awesome to have Dan Shor in the film or Tron come back.

I can't wait to find out!

btw, I just came upon this article, so please don't think that I just said what I said about the track after reading that article. My thoughts were based on prior knowledge and listening to Michael Giacchino's score of JJ Abrams' Star Trek.

He shifted his shape to become a Black Guard to blow up so ISO building. Clu hates the ISOs and the Sea of Simulation is an "isomorphic virus" so he wanted to destroy that.


Now after listening to the leaked soundtrack, I've made some connections. The track listing goes in order of the film, so the songs basically tell the story of the movie, which they're supposed to do anyway. And if you know how to analyze film scores and music in general, you can make the same connections I have.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So "Adagio for TRON" is slow and stringy. It plays after the Sam and Quorra lightrunner escape track "Outlands". I figure this is the part in the film where Flynn tells Sam the story of how he got stuck in the server. "My creation turned against me..." this is a flashback scene where we possibly see Tron punch Clu from the ElecTRONica footage. Though that is uncertain.
This is pure speculation, based in some fact. That's why that was in spoiler tags I guess. But the music gives away a lot of the story, especially the track "Rectifier".


Rectifier is Clu's carrier class ship.

tron is in it,helping you out, he has the exact same suit as rinzler over there except with glowing white lines instead of yellowy orange that rinzler does

havnt seen the ending but apparently he sacrifices himself to save mr flynn from clu 2.0 who becomes evil throughout the course of the game

 		It seems almost a guarantee that Rinzler is Tron. I read somewhere that part of Clu's frustration is that he can't create programs, only rewrite/re-appropriate them. In the film, red/orange/yellow = Clu's goons. So I'm fairly certain that after his defeat in Betrayal he was captured and reprogrammed.

My brother hasn't been present on this forum in a couple of years. He is the one that introduced me to this forum.

But when we were at the movie, that is the first thing he said after the lightcycle scene, "DUDE, I think Rinzler is TRON!!!"

Someone called this back in March, which was an AMAZING CALL!

Ha! I called it back in March and people thought I was crazy. I guess I'm just geeky like that. I just wish there were more scenes with Trinzler.
