Sad to see it end...
My little observations

I'm sorry to see this come to an end. It really was fun while it lasted, but proved to be a very difficult solve.

I noticed some things in case there are any stragglers left that I thought I would just throw out there...what is with the guy standing on the ledge of a building staring at the Empire State Building? Is there something going on with the windows? Morse code? Braille code? It is in one of the trailer videos.

What pops up out of the ship in Episode 7 as Crother's is coming back as the ghost? Also in Ep. 7 when the Captain and Crothers are talking, Mulligan is in the background. I don't know if it is an editing issue or is Mulligan supposed to be there? He looks dead.

In one of the trailers, they show an american flag in every borough except the Bronx. Don't know if it is important.

Good luck if anyone is still out there!

It's at 7:28 or 7:29, just before Crothers makes his entrance. It looks odd at first, but I think it's just his crutch which precedes Crothers as he climbs up from below.

I don't see anything Mulligan-like in the background. Can you be more specific about the timing or when this happens with respect to some particular dialogue?

Brick:

In Ep. 7 starting at 2:40, look behind them, down low, it is clearly a shot of Mulligan. There is also a plastic cup near him-this is probably just an editing thing.

Regarding Crothers at the end of Ep. 7 it is not his cane, that is already in the frame-if you are looking at the video, to his right from the bottom of the ship someting pops out of the boat through some sort of hatch very quickly at 7:33.

Thanks. That's a good find... I don't know if I would have ever found it without your guidance. When you first mentioned that there appeared to be a dead character in the background, my first thought was that it might relate to the discussion between Captain and Crothers about "Jack". So I thought it was interesting that that shot of what appears to be Mulligan in stasis wound up coinciding with this dialogue about the fate of "ol' Lucky Jack". Could "Cut him twice!" refer to Mulligan? It might be a clue, but it might also just be that someone left Mulligan sitting somewhere, and he accidentally wound up in the shot. The way Mulligan has his mouth open looks to me like how puppets might be stored.

OK, I see what you mean now. I didn't spot it until I switched to the HD version of the video. It's something just to the left of Crothers, and it's mostly black. My theory is that it's just the arm of one of the puppeteers. It would make sense that they would wear black to better blend in with the background of this scene. This would not be the first time puppeteers showed up in the videos. One was sighted in Episode 5... I think it was reported in this forum.

And as for the guy standing on the ledge of a building staring at the Empire State Building in the "$10,000 is buried in New York City" trailer, a) it seems to me that he may actually be staring down and away from the Empire State Building and b) given his position and the fact that he appears to be all one color, my guess is that he is a statue.

I agree

Brick:

I almost agree with both your statements.

I thought the same thing when I saw Mulligan, but it does look like an error. If Mulligan really is dead, than I would consider the order of episodes are not what they seem. I do not think this is the case though.

It does look like a statue on the ledge, does anyone know which building that is? I wish I could make out that address and phone number on the other bldg. in the shot. Not that I am starting this crazy hunt all over again, I am not.

By the way, BMT did say those things at the other web-site...could just be more tactics-I don't know or care.

May the best person win!

Hi Mitch,
There was an art project last year in the city in which statues were placed on the edge of buildings. The Mayor wanted to put an end to it because people were constantly calling 911 about people about to jump off of the buildings. So that might be the case with that person on the ledge.

Thanks Mitch. This puzzle is one hard nut to crack. I found 4 flying birds and only God knows if there are any more. Three could be a possibility. It's a tough narrowing it down.
