Not that i'm much one for anime, but.. nazi vampires? who can say no.

I'll figure out if i should thank or blame you later.

Make sure to watch the OVA, it's much better then the regular anime.

Did i mention anime isn't normally my thing. Not that i have any issues with it.. just rarely find myself watching it. With the exception of trigun.

That's exactly how I am. Exactly. o.O

Are you psychic, or am I that transparent? I'd never heard of any of those three, just sampled them, and they're all perfect.

So, even though I didn't mention my love for Gillian Welch and Appalachian folk music, how'd you guess?

Well, not all of Karen Dalton sounds as "Appalachian" as Katie Cruel, but mein gott what she manages to do to that song. SO good.

With the new info I am also going to throw in Sarah Harmer, start with "I Am Aglow." And Kate Campbell, try "New South" first.

As for how I knew... I was just spitballing based on your stated tastes.

When I first heard this song I cried a little in a public place:

Man, Sigur Rós. When these guys are done making music, the universe can just pack it up and call it a day.

I agree 100%. I'm almost never into music in a foreign language, but Sigur Rós is so beautiful.

*catches up on thread*
I haven't seen much anime, but I grew up on digimon and sailormoon (and buffy, though not an anime).
I LOVED ErgoProxy!!

As a sidenote, I also watch korean dramas, lol.

As for music...I guess I prolly have weird taste! I listen to a lot. Right now I'm liking the googoodolls, andy grammar, damien rice, jason mraz, the fray, sara barielles, regina sparks, gorillaz, cake, death cab for cutie, silly wizard (and other misc celtic, feel ok about flogging molly and the empty hats), greatbigsea (canadian! Very Happy ), silversunpickups, kelly clarkson (LOL), original disney soundtracks, glee, Phantom of the Opera (forever and always will love PotO), the cranberries, stroke 9, the dead milkmen....uh...and assorted misc classical and rock.

Love these guys, and all Post Rock music. My favorite band is Explosions in the Sky.

My taste in music is pretty much everywhere, since I will usually enjoy the song if it has a good beat.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
But I absolutely hate Country music with a goddamn fiery passion that is fueled from the pits of hell.

Well, that's not surprising since that kind of music rarely has a good beat.

actually, i prettymuch agree on you, with maybe one or two exceptions.

anyway, i'm calling it a night.

@Sitic -- You really need to watch Ultimate, 'cause the first series was made before they got to the Nazi part in the manga, and therefor was not included in the original series. The first episode is so worth the watch, though, just for the sound effect when Alucard's face gets blown off.

@Lunasa -- DEAR GOD, I love Crispin Freeman's voice. It's absolutely perfect. And sexy.
And I, too, am a Pip fangirl, but Alucard will always be my first & major love.

@Soleil -- Since you listen to Gorillaz, I want your opinion on Plastic Beach. I hated hated hated it the first few times I listened to it, but it's slowly growing on me. Also, Flogging Molly is AMAZING. Got to see them on their Green 17 tour last year, and it was one of the most fun concerts I've ever been to.

@G.I.R -- I agree with you on the country music thing. It sucks that the south (well, at least Oklahoma & Texas) plays it in so many stores & restaurants nonstop. Southern rock, I'm fine & dandy with. Country? Not at all.

No Loretta Lynne? Patsy Cline? Willie Nelson? Hank Sr.? Johnny freakin' Cash? Ah, well, I hated 'em when I was your age, too. Wink

Soleil, you mentioned Flogging Molly, so I have to ask if you've listened to The Pogues.

Worse is that I live in Texas.

"Oh you hate Country?!? But your a Texan!?!" >.>

ALSO I AGREE ABOUT THE HELLSING COMMENT. Alucard is the best Vampire. EVER. I await for the dubbing of the next OVA.

Obligatory picture is obligatory.

Btw, did you finish reading the manga?

@Mattwan- I can ONLY listen to Johnny Cash.

Sorry, G.I.R, but I kind of hate your state. Laughing Well, Dallas, at least. But that's probably just because the first time I visited, I went to a Cowboys game as a supporter of the Broncos, and the Cowboys fans were assholes.

And yes, I did finish reading the manga. I've read it many, many times. Because it's that awesome. I'm sad that it's over, but at the same time, the frustration at having to wait a year between volumes has finally ended.

I don't think I ever wanted to go to New Jersey before EMH came out. Well, maybe out to the Pine Barrens to do some Jersey Devil huntin'. Haha.

You could always just move up a state. Oklahoma isn't that bad, as long as you stick to the cities. The boondock towns can get a little creepy, though.
