Man, all through the darkness in the first part, I was on the edge of my seat. These guys know how to play on your nerves.

He seems awfully calm for someone who's missing seven months of his life, but Jay has always come off as eerily placid to me. Maybe he doesn't want us to know how freaked he really is?

Then again, Alex was very in-control of himself whenever the Slender Man came for him again.

I didn't get the 'shell-shocked despair' vibe from them. They mainly looked... Tired.

I'm used to guys suffering from PTSD being more jumpy or having hair-trigger moods than anything else.

Tired, too. I don't know if it's PTSD so much as an immediate reaction of "well, shit, what do I do now?" and then driving around and still having no idea, and not really knowing what to do from there. Also, "I am fucking tired of this shit. "

I definitely saw looks of distress and fear on Jay's face while he was in the car.

Are we sure that's a tape he picks up at 1:55? I thought it was a room key or something; after all, he leaves the room right after that, so you'd think he'd be sure to bring a room key.

Seriously. Seriously? I waited months for this crap, and this is what we see?

I respect Marble Hornets. The original series freaked me the hell out. But this is just pathetic. The video doesn't even need to exist. Nothing was established by the video aspect other than the setting. He could have just done twitter post updates, and we would have gotten the same thing.

Maybe I'm just jaded, but I expected more from the kings of this medium. I don't expect a ton of actual acting from the Marble Hornets team, but when your video is nothing, literally nothing but Jay walking around looking dazed, especially after the pictures he put up, it's just ridiculous. This wasn't a season opener. This was a filler episode meant to play "Where's Waldo" with our Slender-man starved minds.

A few months ago, this would have cut it for me. But this isn't a few months ago anymore. Everymanhybrid and TribeTwelve are doing far more compelling things with the medium than this, and on top of them we have a fistful of great blogs like Stoppinglights and it's various offshoots, and Observe and Terminate, plus even some odd blog/vlog mixes like Searching for Angels. I hope this isn't a herald of whats to come for Marble Hornets, because if this is how the rest of the series is going to play, count me out.

I watched the intro. The difference to me was, the intro was 2 minutes long and established that his crazy buddy Alex wanted to burn these tapes for one reason or another. It was an intriguing proposition, and framed the entire series up.

The difference is that it takes longer than that before the Entry 27 sign even flashes up. It's six minutes of my life I can't get back, and all it tells me is that he is going to be posting more videos and doesn't remember the last 7 months(which, I must add, is groan-inducing enough on it's own. I hate hate hate the whole "temporary amnesia" excuse for story-telling.) It just seems like text would have sufficed, and wasted far less of my time.

Please tell me something, ANYTHING else that was in that video. Because, let's be honest, he didn't say anything else. There were a few shots that could maybe, *maybe* be something else, and that's it. It's "Where's Waldo" for arg fanatics. Other than that, he just didn't say anything at all. "Memory is missing, I'm in a random hotel room, DONE! Pure. Magic."
