Here and here plus I have one going on paper. I've got you listed, Didz. <3

Nice one, I'll just make a cup of tea and check that list out lol.

I'd love to register, but I can't. I'm much to busy. I've classes to teach, assignments to grade and research to do. I'm taking time out from my sleep schedule to follow this mammoth of a thread as it is.

With this in mind, I have to ask: Is anyone planning to post updates to this thread explaining what's going on in the tournament? I'd hate to miss out on cool things.

For what its worth, I'm pretty sure it's a, perhaps unwritten, unfiction rule that the game discussion thread is officially OOG. Just like we pledge not to stalk the PMs, they promise to leave certain preserves on the internet where ARGy shenanigans simply do not take place.

@re: Coded message

If memory serves, it was encoded using a masonic cipher that had been put trough a mirror transform. The text goes something like this:

"The good doctor is not so lucky as to be dead. Just dealing with some old HABITs."

The capitalization of HABIT is my embellishment. The original cipher did not differentiate between letter case.

Edited. Reason: Mangled punctuation. I've apparently forgotten how to write.

I think we'll end up competing against each other during this tournament tbh. I'd be happy to update though. It depends on the rules set by HABIT or whoever is setting the tournament.

I'm guessing I didn't get accepted. Sad. I sent mine at like 9pm last night. Sad

You know, doesn't Evan kinda have an unfair advantage of maybe possibly being possessed in some way by HABIT?

@Didz

I appreciate what you say, Didz, but I am reasonably sure none will be competing against me. I just want to be a contented spectator, much like until this point. It's all I have time for, really.

Still, I am thankful for the potential updates, rules permitting.

Now if you'll excuse me, I simply must plant a tree. Smile

I find it curious that everyone is lining up to play the game, and follow the rules designed by what is, at best, a grade A psychopath, and at worst a supernatural creature of pure murder. It is strangely evocative of Bioshock, really. Follow the rules, do what you are told, because, well, it is a game, after all. Normally the connection would escape me, but given Evan's recent choice of clothing, the connection does seem to acquire at least a patina of credibility.

So I ask you, coincidence?

...

Yeah. Probably a coincidence. Wink

ffffffffffff--

The moment we hear the phrase "would you kindly?" is the moment I regret this entire thing.

And actually, this is kind of scary. I, personally, jumped on this. As soon as the video was over, I had Wordpad open and was writing up my application. And I guess a lot of us were doing the same. Kind of makes you wonder how far we'll follow them down the hole.

My lovely tree bears delicious, twisted fruit. I am happy. Smile

Mind you, it's probably not going to be important. There was a Red Dead Redemption T-shirt at one point, and the series is so far free of reluctant bounty hunters and Grand Theft Horse. So far. We are, after all, only on box 3.5.

Given the PM's attitude to this sort of thing in the past, we run the risk that it will have had mattered all along, of course. Would you kindly keep that in mind?

People sent emails to HABIT requesting to be in the tournament, a bunch of people got emails back, a bunch didn't yet.

And by then it'll be too late. *wiggles fingers spookily*

Anyhow, it won't be WYK. It'll be something different. Something unexpected. Something they've already hidden in this very video.

Calling it: Evan's face is hypnotic.

Evan mentioned how much he loved Bioshock, so I wouldn't be surprised if they drew this 'mind control' aspect from that. Anyway I sent HABIT an e-mail with the form. Can't wait.
